2025 - What does the future hold?
Hey everyone,
Will make this as brief as possible - I’ve started these conversations with most of you anyway. But, for those who I’m yet to start talking to:
2025 is going to see a few changes. Not only will our second son be due in February, but university hours will be increasing around the same time with semester 1 starting Feb-March.
What does this mean for PT?
I am still going to try to have a fair and equitable PT schedule for everyone but I can’t know what my days/nights will look like until 1) uni timetables open next year and also 2) what juggling 2 kids and a household looks like.
Lately, the multi-tasking physical workload, mental load of work and study, family life (or lack thereof), sicknesses from burnout etc. has seen a higher frequency of time off than you or I would like. As such, a lot of thought has been going into what the future holds.
This is still an ongoing process and no final decisions have been made - I want you guys to be part of the process - but things will be different, they have to be. We still have months of time between now and then but in the event alternate arrangements need to start being planned for, I wanted to put this out there outside of conversations.
That being said; very much looking forward to getting 2025 under way. Bring a second son into the world. Hopefully all of you in as many sessions as possible and get the uni done sooner, become a physiotherapist, and assist you all even more into the future 💪🏻 (with as minimal time off as possible with a better structured work/life/uni balance.
Look forward to chatting with you all more about it.
