It’s the perfect time of year for most of us to wind down, have a little break & De stress.🎄
This might be in the form of time away, time with loved ones, FOOD & Drink and doing less than usual. 🎉
So here are a few Tips or Tools to get you through your summer break without ruining your self esteem or routine you’ve built over the entire year.🔥
1. Taking a break from your usual sport, gym or physical activity. 💪
Swap it. Don’t Stop it.
Swap your usual gym session for a Walk with family or a friend.🤸♂️ ( Try and stick to the same time you would normally go )
Or a bike ride? Or an outing / activity that would require something physical. Visit the Sand hills, go ten pin bowling, Kayaking, swimming etc.
2. Stick to your usual sleep wake cycle. 😴
You have a late night out with family and friends, Yay!
Try your best to not sleep in more than 1 hour past your usual wake time.⏰
If you break your routine for 1 day, that's okay. If you vary it consecutively it impacts your circadian rhythm more dramatically.
Best practice would be not to vary your sleep wake cycle more than 1 hour any day.
3. Feast & Famine. 🥩
FEAST! Oh, one of the best joys in life would be amazing food!
Enjoy it!
If you do love to feast on great food, there is no harm in skipping a meal or reducing the amount you eat the next day.
For Example. Christmas day you have a MASSIVE breakfast & lunch. Don’t worry about dinner, rest & digest.
My personal favourite way would be to skip breakfast and enjoy lunch and dinner.
