And now the final few photos. A great week of golf, socializing and friendship. Thanks must also go to the Mildura Rural City Council particularly over the past 12 years for their provision of grants to enable the marketing of the tournament locally, nationally and internationally. Thank you to for the commitment of long time players - Peter Fox 30 years and many more in the 20 to 30 year bracket as well as the 63 new players this year. 94 golf clubs around Australia and New Zealand were represented. Thanks to the New Zealand crew for their commitment for 19 years - Covid caused a 2 year interruption but everyone came back. Congratulations to the 2024 SHANE DOHERTY MEMORIAL Tri-State Masters Champions - Ladies Champion Jacqui Morgan from Monash Golf Club NSW 76-74-76 235 and Daniel Barron from Rosebud Country Club Vic. 77-73-85 235 Good golfing into the future. ⛳️🥂🍾

The end of an era on Friday night just gone. After 31 years THE SHANE DOHERTY MEMORIAL Tri-State Masters has held the Grand Finale Tournament. Thank you to Bridgestone Golf, Sunraysia Daily and Trentham Estate who have sponsored the Tournament for 31 years together with Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club 29 years, Sunraysia Resort and Seven (7) for over 25 years. Also a big thankyou to all the wonderful ‘hole in one sponsors’ over the past 12 years since the rules of golf were changed to allow significant prizes or cash for a ‘hole in one’. To all the golf clubs who provided their courses over the 31 years Coomealla, Wentworth (NSW), Loxton, Renmark, Berri (S.A.) Mildura, Red Cliffs, Riverside, Robinvale and Merbein, the green staff and all the wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to scrutineer, help in the kitchen, lend golf carts. THANK YOU. ‘Memories Live Longer than Dreams’ ‘it’s nice to meet nice people’ ‘it’s nice to be important but more important to be nice’ I’m sure that Shane would be happy that his beloved tournament has finished on a high. ⛳️⛳️⛳️🍾🥂🍺

Not long now to the 2024 SHANE DOHERTY MEMORIAL Tri-State Masters Grand Finale. Registrations this Sunday at the Mildura Workingman’s Club in Deakin Avenue, Mildura from 10.30am until 4pm. This year the registrations are taking place downstairs. There are also available, not only to the competitors of the tournament, but the general public free Heart Health checks through the Shane Warne foundation. No appointments needed. Looking forward to meeting up with past players again and meeting the many first time competitors too. The weather for the week looks amazing so hopefully it will help with some amazing scores. ‘Memories Live Longer than Dreams’

Just under 5 weeks to the SHANE DOHERTY MEMORIAL Tri-State Masters Grand Finale commencing on the 19th of May and finishing on the 24th of May 2024. After 31years of the tournament (32 if not for COVID restrictions) and after the renaming the event 11 years ago after the untimely passing of the original tournament director and organiser Shane Doherty, time has now been called on this great tournament. Entry into the tournament closes on the 28th of April, 2024 and there are currently 10 morning spots available due to some last minute cancellations. The number of entries have been restricted to 240 players. Please contact Kym Doherty at [email protected] if would like to join in the celebrations of the Grand Finale tournament. 2024 will be the Grand Finale of the SHANE DOHERTY MEMORIAL Tri-State Masters after 31 years of the Tournament (would have been 32 years if it wasn't for the cancellation of the Tournament due to Covid in 2020).
