🌟 Shout out to SAS Scholarship Holder Oscar Bitmead! 🌟

Coming off an injury-interrupted season last summer, Oscar has shown incredible dedication and resilience throughout the year to get himself back to his best.

From attending multiple gym sessions with Harley each week, to regular physio appointments and completing all the necessary rehab required, Oscar has put in an enormous amount of work behind the scenes — and it is fantastic to now see him back on the track showcasing his ability💫

Oscar recently competed at the School Sport Victoria Sunraysia Division Track and Field Championships, putting together a dominant performance:

🥇 100m – 12.06
🥇 200m – 24.46
🥇 400m – 56.05

An outstanding effort across all three events! 👏

We would now like to wish Oscar a massive GOOD LUCK as he competes tomorrow at the School Sport Victoria Loddon Mallee Regional Track and Field Championships in Bendigo! 🏃‍♂️💨

We are incredibly proud to support Oscar throughout his journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

🏆 INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE SUPPORT PROGRAM 🏆

Are you an athlete looking to take your performance to the next level, but your sport doesn’t currently have a dedicated SAS program? Our Individual Athlete Support Program is designed for athletes across any sport! 💪

The 12-week program includes 12 gym sessions, an education session with expert insights, and free access to Waves for athletes aged 14+. 🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Whether you play netball, football, tennis, volleyball, hockey, athletics or another sport, this program is about helping you train smarter, get stronger and perform at your best.

🎓💪 2026 MILDURA SENIOR COLLEGE PROGRAM WRAP-UP

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Sunraysia Academy of Sport Mildura Senior College Program!

An incredible program that ran throughout Terms 1, 2 and 3, with students consistently attending their allocated weekly afternoon Strength & Conditioning sessions.

It was also fantastic to have the Clontarf group involved throughout Terms 1 and 2, joining us for their Wednesday morning sessions.

A huge thank you to Coach Elliot for his time, dedication and attention to detail throughout the program. Elliot did a fantastic job programming and delivering sessions tailored to the students, helping them develop their strength, fitness and understanding of the gym environment.

A big shout out to Mildura Senior College for continuing to initiate, support and host this fantastic opportunity for their students.

But the best way to sum up the program is to hear from the students themselves 👇

🏉 CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK PADDY!

A huge shoutout to SAS Scholarship Holder Paddy Connelly after what has been an incredible six weeks!

In early August, Paddy was selected to play in the Bendigo Pioneers U18 side in Ballarat. Still eligible for U16s this year, Paddy has continued to show his incredibly impressive ability to compete and perform above his age group💪

Then, in mid-August, Paddy added another fantastic achievement to his season, being named the Sunraysia Football Netball League Round 17 Rising Star Winner following a stellar performance in Red Cliffs Seniors’ impressive victory over Imperials🤩

Fast forward to this week, and we would like to wish Paddy a massive GOOD LUCK as he prepares to line up with his Red Cliffs Football Club Senior team in this weekend’s Grand Final against Mildura! 🏆

What an incredible opportunity for Paddy to be part of a Senior Grand Final at such a young age, and we know he will give it absolutely everything alongside his Red Cliffs teammates⭐️

👏 Keep up the stellar work, Paddy! Everyone at SAS is extremely proud of what you continue to achieve, and we can’t wait to see what comes next!

🌟 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT | MACKENZIE 🌟

What an incredible athlete — talk about multi-talented! 👏

Mackenzie joined the Sunraysia Academy of Sport in 2026 through our Netball Program and has continued training with SAS throughout winter as part of our Individual Athlete Support Program💪

And her achievements speak for themselves! 🔥

🏐 NETBALL
Mackenzie represented Sunraysia at both the State Titles and Association Championships, with her team winning their division at the Association Championships! 🏆

Her performances also caught the eye of Netball Victoria, with Mackenzie talent identified and invited to trial for the Victorian U17 State Team in November.

Incredible for a 14-year-old! 👏

🏉 FOOTBALL
Playing locally for Wentworth, Mackenzie spent most of the season competing in the 17 & Under division, despite still being eligible for 14 & Under💫

She finished equal third in the league vote count for the 17 & Under competition — an incredible achievement considering she missed the final four to five rounds through injury.

Mackenzie then played in BOTH the Sunraysia 14 & Under and 17 & Under Grand Finals, with both Wentworth teams claiming premierships! 🏆🏆

To top it off, Mackenzie was awarded Best on Ground in the 14 & Under Grand Final! ⭐

Mackenzie also represented Sunraysia in football and competed in three trial matches in Swan Hill, where her performances earned her an invitation to trial with the Bendigo Pioneers.

While she was too young to be selected in the Pioneers squad for the V/Line Cup this season, we’re sure this won’t be the last opportunity that comes her way!

And if netball and football weren’t enough, Mackenzie is also excelling in school athletics, progressing through to the next level in:

⭐ High Jump
⭐ Triple Jump
