SpeedDome is Western Australia’s only combined indoor cycling velodrome and roller sports complex, hosting both high-performance athletes and the wider skating and cycling communities. The venue is home to Cycling WA, WA Track Cycling, Midland Cycle Club, WAIS and Rollersports WA, and regularly welcomes national and international teams from Australia, Britain and the Netherlands. It has also been
the training base for WA Olympians including Sam Welsford, Cameron Meyer, Luke Zaccaria and Paralympian Kane Perris. A $2.52 million upgrade in 2017 delivered a new 250m Siberian pine velodrome track, a full roof replacement and major facility improvements, keeping the venue at UCI Category 2 standard. SpeedDome facilities include:
- Multipurpose infield for inline hockey, figure skating and speed skating
- Tiered seating for 1,500 spectators (capacity up to 2,300 for events)
- Bar and canteen
- Media boxes, offices, reception area and change rooms
Owned and managed by VenuesWest, SpeedDome continues to host national and international events while supporting WA’s vibrant cycling and roller sports communities.
