Mark your calendar. The 2026 Women's Helm, Navigator & Radio Operator Race is on!

Starting from Royal Brighton Yacht Club on Saturday 29 August, boats will sail across to Royal Geelong Yacht Club, with a cruise home together on Sunday.

Don't have a boat but want to be part of this race? You don't need to sit this one out. Fill in the online form on our website and we'll do our best to match you with a competing boat. It's a brilliant way to get offshore experience, meet other women sailors, and take on a key role: helm, navigator, or radio operator.

Metung Yacht Club welcomes winter every year with its premier and only annual motorboat race.
The 43rd Pat Graham trophy race launched in good style from Metung Yacht Club yesterday, with 8 boats afloat, and a spare, roaming between Shaving Point and Nungurner. All boats returned eventually to shore and the yacht club, most crews with quizzical answers to the cryptic questions and some interesting specimens to display.

After extended shenanigans in the Clubroom, some (it must be said) half-hearted bidding for the trophy from some crews, and a late crew's performance contending for an upset win, the day's winning crew was declared - Nickers No-Nickers took home the trophy rights and the Graham bottle of port donated by Peter Graham.
Well done to Nicci and Vic Kavals and their crew of Robyn and Peter Kanat. They are pictured with Peter and Rob Graham, representing the Pat Graham family.
An online album of videos and photographs from yesterday is at this link - https://photos.app.goo.gl/JLfQj7ddtSvmguaQA
Feel free to add more photos/videos of your crews from yesterday to the album, or in the comments of this post.

MYC member Alistair Murray is in Japan, competing in the World Tasar Championships, in Okinawa, June 6-12.
Alistair’s usual crew (and in these photos) is his daughter, Clare Ridgway, but she wasn’t available. For this contest, he is sailing with an experienced local Taser sailor, another woman, named Kyoko Kono.
Fair sailing Alistair and Kyoko.
