Our senior team pulled off a thrilling 1-run victory in a low-scoring contest. It was a tough game where every run and every ball mattered, but the boys fought till the very end and held their nerve to get over the line.
A great display of determination and team spirit.
We finish the season on a high and will come back even stronger next year.

Adam Turrell – A Batting Stylist

Adam Turrell was a Wenty Waratahs junior and began his career with Parramatta as a wicket-keeper / batsman in A.W. Green Shield team of 2003/04 – he is the son of club icon Allen Turrell – and entered the NSW Premier Cricket ranks via 5th grade in season 2005/06.

What an outstanding knock by Kiaan Shah, who scored a brilliant 55 (not out)* to guide our U12 Division 1 boys to a strong total today! 🙌🔥

Walking in at a tricky stage after a few quick wickets, Kiaan showed maturity beyond his age — rebuilding the innings, finding the gaps, and accelerating beautifully when the team needed it most. A top-quality innings that set up a fantastic win for the Wenty Waratahs! 💪🐯

Kiaan’s dad, Sid, plays for our Wenty Waratahs senior men’s team. With Kiaan’s form soaring, the bragging rights at home firmly belong to the son for now! 😆🏏

💙 In Memory of Ben Austin

Today, our Wenty Waratahs Under 15 (2) and Wenty League team paused before the start of the match to pay our respects to Ben Austin.

The players lined up together in silence to honour his memory, reflect, and show support for everyone impacted by this heartbreaking loss. Moments like these remind us that cricket is more than just a game — it is a community, a family, and we stand together in difficult times.

💛 Condolences from Wenty Waratahs Cricket Club

The Wenty Waratahs Cricket Club is deeply saddened to hear about the tragic incident involving a young cricketer from the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club.

We cannot begin to understand the sorrow his family, teammates, coaches, and community are going through. Losing someone so young, while doing something they loved, is heartbreaking.

At moments like this, cricket stops being about competition.
It becomes about people, support, and standing together as a community.
