Hi everyone, I’m going to have to cancel next week’s tennis camp. I just don’t have the numbers this round to run a successful camp. I’ll try again next school holidays - hopefully we gain more interest coming into summer!

Tomorrow at 6pm the members of the tennis club are having a meeting to coordinate a new committee pending we get enough interest. If you are interested in helping out, (more hands make light work!) please come along!

Finally the news we've been waiting to hear! While this is fantastic for the community, in order for the club to continue we need volunteers for committee positions. Please if you can offer yourself to join our committee please get in touch with Robert Smith or Jason Bear. This is imperative for Junior tennis to start up once again. Thank you

After last nights regrettable decision from the outgoing tennis club committee to cease operations of our community club, I am sad to inform you all that junior tennis coaching cannot continue in Merriwa without an affiliate club. As I am a community coach registered through Tennis Australia I must conduct activities within TA affiliate clubs.

This is so upsetting because we had such a healthy list of young players last Term, I was hoping to see this grow in 2019.

Sport in rural towns is so vital for physical and social development, and I am sad to see the children of Merriwa and surrounding towns missing out on learning to play the sport loved by so many of us.

I hope to offer you some positive news in the near future surrounding our beloved tennis courts and the future of our committee.

Tennis summer camp happening this Friday! Sorry for the late notice, please message or call to confirm your child's spot. I have Zoë Tolhurst, a Tennis Australia accredited coach coming out to run for us. Will be lots of fun and some new skills taught by this wonderful up and coming coach!

Hello everyone, I'm sorry to do this - especially being our last week, however my daughter came down with fevers last night and I cannot leave her with our babysitter as she is too unwell. So sorry once again! I'll post updates soon about tennis camp over the holidays and Term 1 enrolments for 2019. Have a wonderful Christmas and travel safe if you are heading away. Emily

Great news! We are now officially registered through Tennis Australia! You can jump online and register your child through our Community Play program and Tennis Australia will send a free tennis shirt for each participant 😁 https://hotshots.tennis.com.au/register/

Tennis is about to kick off for Term 4 and we have a few vacancies for our Thursday sessions.

5-8yrs 3.30pm

8-10yrs 4.20pm

Cost is $12 per session, for 10 weeks & annual membership is $25 per child. Contact me to register your child 🙂
