Great news at the Kennel! Aidan Carroll has put pen to paper and will be a Bulldog again in 2027!

Standing at an imposing 207cm, Aido is one of the tallest players in the league and gives our midfielders first use week in, week out. A competitive beast in the ruck, Aido is rarely beaten in the contest and his impact doesn’t stop there. His ability to get around the ground and take big contested marks makes him a massive weapon for our side.

Aido joined us in Round 2 this season and made an immediate impact, quickly becoming an important part of our senior side.

What makes Aido even more valuable is what he brings off the field. He’s one of the first to get around everyone, whether it’s Thursday night dinners, functions or around the club, and he has quickly become a very well-liked and respected member of the Bulldogs family.

We couldn’t be happier to have Aido back wearing the red, white and blue!

The Merrigum Football Netball Club is now accepting Expressions of Interest for our 2027 Netball Coaching positions.

We're looking for enthusiastic, positive and committed coaches to help lead and develop our players across all junior and senior grades. Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to step into coaching for the first time, we'd love to hear from you.

Sam West is officially on board for season 2027!

Another versatile defender who can swing forward when needed, Sam has come a long way in his footy and continues to improve every single week. He knows his role, does his job on game day and gives his everything for the team.

Off the field, Cheffa is one of the most well liked blokes around the Kennel. He loves dishing out the banter and giving a bit of cheek, but once he crosses that white line, he shows exactly why he’s an important part of our senior squad. 🐶

We’re stoked to have Sam back for another season and can’t wait to see him continue to develop, take his footy to the next level and become an even bigger contributor in 2027.

Our player re-signings are coming in HOT! The boys are extremely keen to keep building together heading into season 2027!

We’re stoked to announce that Koady Murdoch has recommitted to the Kennel for another season!

Koady’s first year at the club was also his first season of football in eight years, and he certainly didn’t look out of place. We’ve found a home for Koady as a lockdown defender, where his competitiveness, toughness and willingness to give absolutely everything each week have been a huge asset to our side.

Koady is the type of player every team needs. He genuinely cares, competes like every contest matters and doesn’t care whether the job is big or small, he’ll get it done.

As the oldest player in our very young playing group, the boys absolutely love getting around ‘Unc’!

We’re so excited to have Koady back for 2027 and can’t wait to see what he can bring in his second year at the Kennel! 🐶
