Dearest gentle reader,
Did you truly suppose I was in hibernation with this frigid cold? You are mistaken, yet again. I confess to you, I do adore the cold- though perhaps not the hail.
This season does draw to twilight. The flowers are not in full bloom yet- the sun is yet to caress our skins with a spring glow and the days must draw out.
In regards to objects out, pray tell, where was the women's goalie this weekend? Chasing butterflies in the wind? One might have believed they misplaced their Lorgnettes or perhaps their wits. Briefly as it was, it got this authors' heart pounding.
A respectable effort from Lady Sharp, who bamboozled us all. Don a feather in thy cap.
What a fascinating weekend indeed. We saw not one but many a lady filling in for the gentlemen's team. A great deed to ensure we could all have a match on the field, indeed. Please, ma'am- my tea is still brewing. I beg you will take a chair... It is Newton's law that does state an object in motion remains so unless acted on by an outside force. The beauty of Science. An unfortunate situation for a bull of a man like lord Shoobridge of Doodlakine estate, with the agility of said beast. Following the inevitable- it seems a few choice words were expressed, which this author does not fathom putting to ink.
With the finals looming this weekend mother nature has graced us with pleasant weather and fair skies. There is sure to be many spectators with babes in tow, descending on the sidelines this weekend.
The ton gathers next weekend for a merriment of food and courtly behaviour. The nectar will, indeed, flow as the music graces ones ears. Be sure to secure an invite to the revelry.
Upon reflection of my tales this season a query arises. For, there is also a decision to be made with some loose lips threatening my anonymity- potentially foiling my identity. This author must ponder whether to rest my column or pass this baton. In due course, you shall know.
