Congratulations to Pippa Barton, who competed in the New South Wales Champion of Champions this past weekend. She won all her matches, made it to the final, and finished as the runner-up in the event. She is now officially one of the top two New South Wales regional tennis players in her age group. Well done, Pippa!

Congratulations to Jack Gamlin who played in Canberra last Friday — he didn’t lose a single match.
He has now qualified for the Canberra–Goulburn Tennis Team to compete at the MacKillop Trials in February 2026.

A huge congratulations to Pippa Barton from Merimbula Tennis Club and her teammates from the South East Region for winning the 2025 NSW 10/U State Teams Championship – Dorn Fogarty Cup! 🙌

This is the first time in history the South East Region has claimed this prestigious state title — an incredible achievement showcasing the talent, teamwork, and dedication of our young players. 🌟

A huge shout-out to our local Bega tennis star, Pippa Barton, for her incredible performance at the NSW Forster Country Championships!
Pippa was a finalist in the U10s Singles and took home the U10s Doubles championship. What an amazing achievement!

🎾 JDS Tournament Success in Merimbula! 🎾

What an incredible weekend of tennis at the JDS Tournament in Merimbula! A huge shoutout to all 40 players who competed, including 14 from Merimbula Tennis Club and 7 from Lumen—we are so proud of your efforts!

A special congratulations to our players who achieved fantastic results:

🏆 Boys/Girls U10 (combined) – Pippa Barton 🥈 Runner-up
🏆 Boys U12 – Jack Gamlin 🥈 Runner-up
🏆 Boys U14 – Taj Hill 🎾 Quarterfinalist
🏆 Boys U14 – Luke Grobelaar 🏅 Won his round-robin pool & reached the semifinals
🏆 Boys U16/Opens – Nick Grobbelaar 🏆 Champion

Pippa Barton went on to compete in the Moruya JDS the next day and beat her opponent she lost to in the final the day before well done Pippa - Moruya JDS U10 Champ

It was fantastic to see players from Canberra, Victoria, and across the South Coast competing, and we are especially proud of our first-time participants for stepping up to the challenge!

This year, we managed to run the entire event at one venue, finishing all matches by 5:30 PM—a great achievement. Plus, having more people at our local club helped boost kiosk sales!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success, from our amazing players to the supportive parents, club members, and volunteers. Your contributions make these events possible!
