⚽️ U11 Girls Preliminary Final ⚽️🩵 Pacific FC Angelfish vs Buddina Sea Eagles

What an incredibly intense game of soccer today. The Angelfish took on the Buddina Sea Eagles at home in the Preliminary Final, and with two very evenly matched teams on the pitch, it was an absolute nail-biter to watch from the sidelines.

The Angelfish created plenty of opportunities and had numerous attempts at goal throughout the match, but just couldn’t get one to stick. One did find the back of the net, only to be disallowed due to confusion over substitution timing.

With no score separating the teams at full time, we headed into extra time. By this point, tired legs were definitely setting in, but the girls dug deep and kept pushing with whatever energy they had left. Despite their determination, neither team could find the winning goal.

And so… penalty shootout😬⚽️

After such a closely fought match, Buddina ultimately secured the win on penalties and a place in the Grand Final.

For our Angelfish, it was a heartbreaking way to finish, but the girls should be incredibly proud of the fight, determination and teamwork they showed right through to the very end. They left everything they had out on that pitch today.

More importantly, today’s result doesn’t define what has been an incredible season. The girls have shown just what a great team they are, coming so far together and establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat. Week after week, they’ve worked hard, supported each other, developed their skills and given their opposition some fantastic competition.

Making it all the way to a Preliminary Final is something to be incredibly proud of.

Hold those heads high, Angelfish- what a season!

Huge thanks to Coach Andy and Manager Darcie who guide the girls at every training session and match game, and also to all our families and supporters who attend each game to cheer our girls on.

Lastly, a big shout-out to Quinn and Mila, who both received high recognition in the season’s Best & Fairest voting, as judged throughout the season by referees and opposition coaches. Well done Angelfish ⚽️🩵😊

WE’RE GOING TO THE GRAND FINAL!! 🥳🏆

What. A. Game.

That was an absolute nail biter from start to finish! The Stingrays were up 1–0 and looking like we’d done enough… until the opposition scored with just 10 seconds left on the clock. 😱

So, into extra time we went!

With only 5 mins of extra time to go, Coach made a very specific prediction, we were going to score, and it was going to be Harlen.

And lo and behold… HARLEN SCORED THE WINNER!! ⚽️🙌

Coach might want to grab a Lotto ticket on the way home. 😂

What an incredible way to finish a tough game. The kids dug deep, kept fighting and got the result when it mattered most.

Stingrays are GRAND FINAL bound! 🏆🩵⚽️

U12 Seahorses 🩵 - Match Report (from the game on 15/08, better late than never!)

Well…. for our final round game of the season, the Seahorses came out firing against the Caloundra Wolves.

It was such an entertaining game, with endless energy and excitement. We always love a home game at our beloved PLC, and the sun shone down and boosted our girls on, after they had the fun of being rewarded by the club with their medals, trophies and awards for the year.

Our goalies, Ashlen (Mini) and Indie P were flawless, stopping every shot that the Wolves had on goal.

And our goal scorers, Mieka, Phoebe and Ashlan were on point.

We were over the moon with the final 3-0 score. The girls really deserved this win!! We are so happy for them.

U8 Dolphins 🐬⚽️ — Rooball Carnival Wrap-Up

What a way to finish the season! 🐬💙 Our final games of the year were at the Rooball Carnival, and we honestly saw some of the best soccer the Dolphins have played all season! The determination, teamwork and never-give-up attitude from every player was incredible.

What a comeback! After going into the second half 4–1 down, the Dolphins fought their way back to an amazing 5–5 draw. Stella performance! 👏

The boys faced their toughest test but a fantastic comeback and some late game heroics sealed consecutive back to back undefeated seasons for the mighty Dragonfish.

A huge thank you to the Players and Parents as well Jenny and Rita for another great season.

Final Match Report: 🩵 Semi-final: Pacific Swordfish versus Chancellor Cranes ⚽️

The Pacific Swordfish stepped onto the field locked in and ready to go. The team showed incredible grit and determination throughout the match, and the energy could be felt not just among the players, but also from the parents and coaching staff watching from the sidelines.

The first half was a tough contest, with the Chancellor Cranes taking a 2–0 lead into the break.

Early in the second half, the Swordfish fought their way back into the game with a goal from Al. At 2–1, the team lifted and the crowd could sense that we were still well and truly in with a chance.

Unfortunately, towards the end of the match, Chancellor found the net once more, leaving the final score at 3–1.

Although the Swordfish were disappointed at the final whistle, there was still plenty to be proud of. We made it further than we did last year, and that gives us plenty of hope and excitement for what this team can achieve next season!

A huge thank you to our coaches for the mentorship, encouragement and commitment they have shown the players throughout the season. Your time, patience and belief in the team has helped every player grow both on and off the field.

A big thank you also to Jenny and Rita for everything you have done to support the team and the club throughout the year. You guys are amazing!

⚽ U11 Stingrays – Semi Final ⚽ 🩵

A tough one for our Stingrays, going down 3–1 in a hard-fought semi final.

We went into the game one player short, which made for a huge workload across the field. The opposition were strong today and, credit to them, seemed to want it that little bit more.

Not the result we were hoping for, but the beauty of finishing second on the ladder is that our season isn’t over yet! 💪

We’ve got another shot next week to earn our place in the Grand Final. Time to regroup, recover and come back ready to fight for it.

Semi-Final Match Report 🩵 �Pacific FC Angelfish vs Currimundi Cowries�
The Angelfish headed to Bli Bli on Saturday to face the mighty Currimundi Cowries in a tough Semi-Final clash. The two teams have been closely matched all season, with the Cowries narrowly taking the 2026 Premiership title, and they proved just as competitive, with the Cowries taking the 2–1 win.

Sickness swept through our team this week, and with two players away sick, others still recovering (plus an also unwell Coach at the helm), the girls headed into the semi-final without quite their usual energy and endurance. Despite that, they dug deep and showed plenty of determination against a very strong Cowries side.

The Angelfish played a strong defensive game, working hard to keep the Cowries at bay. We did struggle at times to maintain possession in our attacking half and create sustained pressure, but the girls continued to fight for every opportunity.

⚽️ Piper provided one of the highlights with a shot from the wing that somehow kept rolling, made its way past the keeper and found the back of the net - despite Coach Andy’s ongoing claim that “rolling shots won’t get goals!” - Piper had other ideas 🙌

🧤 Georgia was absolutely on fire in goal. She dove, blocked and pulled off countless incredible saves throughout the match, including an outstanding penalty save that kept the Cowries within reach. Her skill, courage and determination between the posts were fantastic to watch.

A big well done also to Kirby, Belle and the rest of our defensive line, who worked incredibly hard with some excellent marking and disciplined defensive play against a strong Cowries attack. A special shout-out to Quinn, who stepped up as Match Captain today and led the team with strength and determination.

It may not have been our easiest day on the pitch, but the girls kept working right to the end, exactly what you want to see from a team in a semi-final.

A big thank you to Coach Andy, Manager Darcie, and all the family members and friends who came along to support the girls through today’s nail-biting match.
