Sad to have to call off the Estabar ‘Frothers’ comp today!
Conditions were not great, have deteriorated since and it’s now raining.

On the positive side Riss got our club drone out, practicing some surveillance and getting these images of our beautiful home break 🙌🏼

Thanks again Surfing NSW for the drone and Hover UAV for the training.

We are beyond grateful to have received a She and the Sea state of the art UAV drone for monitoring at our comps.

A huge thank you to everyone that made this possible, the team at Surfing NSW were incredible with support and the Hover UAV team provided excellent hands on training for our club as well as other local clubs.

There’s something pretty special about the way the ocean connects women, no matter where in the world we are. 💙🌊
As President of She and the Sea Newcastle Women’s Boardriders, I’m currently travelling through Sri Lanka with the incredible Sarah Hoyland from Journeys for Women | Hosted by Sarah Hoyland . One of the absolute highlights has been visiting the inspiring women behind SeaSisters Sri Lanka .

Sea Sisters is changing lives by empowering women and girls of all ages to learn to swim and surf—something that has traditionally not been accessible to many women here. They’re creating confidence, independence, friendships and opportunities, all through the power of the ocean.

It was such a privilege for She and the Sea to share a little piece of our community by donating T-shirts featuring our amazing Aussie sponsors, two sets of rash shirts, and a stack of stickers. They’re simple gifts, but they represent something much bigger, the idea that women supporting women has no borders.

From Newcastle to Sri Lanka, we’re all connected by saltwater, shared waves, and a belief that every woman deserves to feel the joy, freedom and confidence that comes from the sea.

Happy Birthday She and the Sea!!
It’s been 5 years since the brain child of took off with a few like minded “gurfers” getting involved.
We are now a fully established board club with over 50 active members and families!
A massive thank you to all our sponsors who help get us the equipment, our committee and brains trust doing all the behind the scenes work and of course, TO YOU OUR MEMBERS!
You keep us all frothing and smiling every time we see you! From the Mum and Dads who push our Mermaids onto set waves and battle the rips, to our young guns making sure us oldies are always kept on our toes!
