Loved having my daughter join today’s mat Pilates session. Watching her move, focus and have fun on the mat made my whole morning.
She’s about to head off snowboarding, and honestly, Pilates is one of the best things she could be doing right now.
Snowboarding demands:
• Hip mobility for turns
• Core strength for balance
• Ankles + knees that can stabilise quickly
• Good flexibility to reduce strain when you fall (because we all fall)
Pilates supports all of that — and helps minimise the chance of injury on the slopes.
The stronger and more mobile you are, the more you can enjoy the ride.
So proud of her for prepping her body before she goes. Bring on the snow.
