Congratulations to Georgia from our 15U Div 6 team for reaching 50 games. Since joining Lakers a few years ago, Georgia has established herself as a formidable force at either end of the court. This year, she’s wowing her teammates and coach with her efforts in defence, being an absolute gun down there. Congrats Georgia!

Laura is our very well deserved supporter of the week for Round 6! A mainstay supporter for our Opens 14 team, Laura is there even when her daughter Paige isn’t playing. In Round 5, our 10U team was very short on players and would have had to forfeit if it wasn’t for some amazing players stepping in to fill up after their game. Our supporters of the week for Round 5 are Sigrid, Millie, Zoe, Bianca and their families, whose dedication and support meant that the 10s didn’t have to forfeit. Not only that, but the girls loved playing another game and spending time together. Well done, what amazing Lakers spirit!

❤️💜 ROUND 4 SUPPORTER OF THE WEEK - STEPHEN FERGUSON 💜❤️

Catching up on a few rounds for our wonderful supporters, but Stephen was our supporter of the week for Round 4! Father of Esther in our 18U Div 3 team, Stephen went to the effort of getting all the girls lollies to ensure they were fueled and ready for the game. He’s a constant supporter on the sidelines and has been for many years, and is always ready with a smile and an encouraging word. Thanks for your support Stephen!

Time for round 6! Please note that 15 Team B and 18 Team B have both changed grades, so check courts and timing/scoring carefully. 11&U A and 16&U A will also be playing new teams after the regrading has been done, so refer to PlayHQ for the updated fixtures.

Weather is meant to be a little wet and cold, so wrap up while you’re down supporting Lakers at the courts and see you there tomorrow!

A big congratulations to all of our Lakers reps at Association Champs on the June long weekend. There has been a lot of behind the scenes preparation and hard work leading up to this weekend and we wanted to showcase our amazing volunteers. Even though the weather wasn’t on anyone’s side, they preserved and came away with some great results. We’re also very lucky to have people of this calibre at our club who continue to show up week after week.
