BACK KEES #9 ππ
One of our own needs the Broncos community behind him.
Kees has been a Melton Bronco since 2015 and has now played more than 150 games in Broncos colours.
For a kid who has spent such a big part of his life at our club, rugby league isn't just a sport. The Broncos have been a major part of his childhood and his rugby league journey.
Kees recently suffered a devastating knee injury playing rugby league, rupturing his ACL, MCL and LCL.
His surgery is scheduled for 2 September 2026, followed by a long rehabilitation as he begins the road back to playing again.
Kees has worked incredibly hard at his rugby league. His journey has taken him from the Broncos through Grange College and into the Melbourne Storm pathway, recently earning selection in the 2027 Harold Matthews squad.
Instead of preparing for that opportunity, Kees is now preparing for major knee surgery.
His family is facing significant costs associated with the surgery, hospital treatment, medical expenses and the extensive rehabilitation that will follow.
They have launched BACK KEES #9 β The Road Back Starts Here, with a goal of raising $20,000 towards those costs.
We'd love to see the Broncos family get behind a player who has been part of this club for more than a decade.
If you're able to donate, every contribution helps.
If you can't donate, please share Kees' fundraiser. Every share gets his story in front of more people.
