Meet Jon your Aikido instructor:

In 1982, at the age of 19, Jon began studying Aikido at the Footscray Institute dojo. He has trained under numerous Aikikai Australia instructors at various dojos around Melbourne and interstate. In 1991 he was graded Shodan by Seiichi Sugano Sensei.
For Jon, Aikido embodies the “spirit” of the martial arts where the “true victory is victory over oneself.” *

Jon believes with a commitment to regular training the student develops; technique, movement, self-discipline, self-awareness, focus and compassion. He sees Aikido as an approach to self-defence that offers the practitioner a way to deal with conflict, both on the mat and in everyday life.

Jon is also a Level 1 Yoga Teacher with seven years teaching experience and a Level 2 Reiki practitioner.

Relax to the sounds of Japanese temple bells, Tibetan bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, poetry, mantra, and silence.

Reiki will be channelled throughout the session by Jon, a level 2 Reiki practitioner.

Followed by herbal tea.
