17 years ago, God blessed me with the greatest gift I could ever have asked for - YOU. 🙏❤️

My beautiful girl, you are my heart, my life, my motivation, my strength and such a huge part of everything I do. I will forever praise and thank God for choosing me to be your mum. Of all the blessings He has poured into my life, being your mother will always be one of my greatest.

As you step into your 17th year, my prayer is that you continue to honour God and put Him first in everything you do. Let Him guide your heart, your decisions, your dreams and every path you take.

Forgive willingly - and be willing to forgive first.
Care for others without expecting anything in return.

💎🔥 19/U AVENTURINES – FROM “JUST TURNING UP” TO FINALS! 🔥💎

Well, that’s a wrap on our 2026 season and what a ride it has been! ❤️🖤

Last night our 19/U Aventurines took the court in their Elimination Final against a powerhouse Altona Falcons Blue side. The score may have been 68–38, but our girls never stopped fighting and gave it everything they had.

For a team that made finals for the first time in three seasons, this is a massive achievement. Especially when you consider our game plan this year was basically:

✅ No team training
✅ Turn up Tuesday night
✅ Figure it out as we go
✅ Somehow make finals 🤣

Honestly, making finals under those circumstances deserves a trophy on its own! 🏆😂

A huge congratulations to our Saffires girls Sheba and Tiare (injured) playing for Falcons Blue on an amazing season through all their storms with injuries and their Finals win 🥇. Well done girls 👏you deserved that win! Sheba, you were absolutely on fire last night! 👏🔥

Congratulations also to our other Saffires girls Meleane, Izzy, Jessamyn and Alyssa (injured) and an OG Saffiree Mikayla playing for Falcons Red on their great season and Finals win vs Geelong Flyers Pink. They had their own storms this season but weathered them all and came through stronger!! Well done girls. Look forward to supporting you all next week 😍! I’m not taking sides girls. You both deserve to win so give it all you have and remember you are friends on and off the court 😘🩵

I’m incredibly proud of all our Saffires girls who took on the 19/U State Super Netball Series competition this season. Not to forget our Violet playing for Newport. To step into a competition of that calibre, compete against some strong teams and talented players is an outstanding experience and achievement. Well done to you all! ❤️💎

Every season we enter this competition knowing we’re coming up against such strong competition. The talent, experience and depth across the mix especially the famous Falcons is incredible, and that’s exactly why we keep coming back. The challenge pushes our girls to another level and gives them a pathway towards elite netball.

To our Aventurines girls – thank you. You represented Black Saffires with heart, determination and plenty of laughs. You proved that hard work, commitment and believing in each other can take you to finals without knowing lol.

As for next year…

📏 Find some height.
📏 Find some more height.
📏 Maybe find a few more tall people. 😂

And if enough girls want to play, why not enter two teams? 🤣

So much for retirement! Every year I say, “This is it, I’m done,” and every year another team appears. At this point, retirement is just a rumour. 😂💎

Thank you to all our players, families and supporters. Making finals was a huge milestone, and this little club couldn’t be prouder of these amazing young ladies.
