From fearful to formidable.

When Alice came back to Absolute after years away, she wasn’t short on knowledge. At 44 she understood strength training, bone health, all of it. What she’d lost was trust in her own body.

A chronic health condition and a run of surgeries had ended her first attempt at training back in 2017. She came back carrying the belief that if she pushed too hard, something would break.

That belief showed up everywhere, in how she moved, in the hikes where she couldn’t keep pace with her friends, in a hip that made everything feel unpredictable.

So we started slow. 1:1 appointments, low intensity, movement quality first. Not because she was fragile, but because you can’t tell someone their body is capable - they have to feel it.

The physical stuff came: stronger, fitter, more resilient.

Her hip stopped calling the shots.

But the shift I actually care about is this, Alice now trains on her own, and she pushes harder solo than she ever did with me standing there.

Most people’s confidence drops the moment supervision is removed. Hers went up. She took ownership of it.

That’s the bit that lasts.

Huge credit to Alice. Showing up and backing yourself.

FREE WEBINAR 🧠

Most people think dementia prevention starts in your 70s. The research says otherwise - the disease process can begin 15-20 years before the first symptom shows up.

Which means an ordinary Tuesday in your 40s and 50s is already writing the story of your brain decades from now.

Swipe through for what the research actually says - and why the strongest lever we have isn’t a puzzle app, a supplement, or “just walking more.”

It’s strength training, done the right way. And the good news? It’s almost identical to what your body already needs.

I put together a free 20-minute webinar breaking down the research, and exactly what a brain-protective training plan looks like in midlife - including the two things almost everyone gets wrong.

What do you want your body and mind to be capable of in your 60’s, 70’s, and beyond?

Regular strength training during midlife is key to take control of your future self.

“Sorry, what was I saying?”

If that’s happening more than it used to, you’re not imagining it. Midlife hormonal shifts change how efficiently your brain uses energy - some researchers call it an “energy crisis in the brain.”

The fix isn’t a supplement or a brain-training app. It’s strength training - specifically because of what it does to insulin sensitivity and glucose regulation in the brain.

Is memory something you’ve noticed in yourself, or in family - and you’re wanting to get ahead of it?

Strength training isn’t just about lifting heavier weights - it’s about staying strong for life 💪

With around 2 in 5 Australian women over 50 expected to experience a minimal-trauma fracture, and many women still not meeting strength-training guidelines, building and maintaining strength becomes increasingly important as we age.

Think stronger muscles, healthier bones, better function, and more confidence in what your body can do.

You don’t have to train like an athlete, you just need to keep giving your body a reason to stay strong. 🏋️‍♀️
