Do I need to now be an astronaut to u-bounce? 😂 Nooooo - of course not, you are perfect the way you are 💓
Just a fun fact of what makes Rebounding unique and how it helps astronauts (and YOU for that matter ✌️🤗) stay healthy.
💁♀️When astronauts are in space, they can lose as much as 15% of their muscle and bone mass from being in a zero gravity environment for even as little as 14 days.
NASA uses to help astronauts recover after being in space – rebuilding muscle and bone mass.
They have found it to be two times as effective as treadmill running.
When NASA discovered and started using rebounding, it quickly became more popular in homes and families (think back to the 80’s- did you/your parents have a rebounder then? 😃)
🧐In many other forms of exercise, the shock of it is absorbed by the feet, ankles and shins and can be very hard on those areas.
With rebounding on the other hand, the shock is absorbed more equally throughout the body from toe to head and is therefore much gentler alleviating pressure on the feet and legs.✅
Because of the way rebounding works – you accelerate upwards, there is a split-second weightless pause at the top, then you decelerate via gravity, impact the rebounder and repeat – it causes all the cells in your body to have to respond.
✅This up and down motion not only increases heart rate❤️, builds muscle 💪🦵and improves balance🙌, but it also is beneficial for the lymphatic system ♻️
😮Just a few minutes of rebounding is said to drain and clear the entire lymphatic system. ✅
Because of this it strengthens the immune system and detoxifies as well.
