Congratulations to everyone who competed today at our Tri Club Championships. It takes courage to step onto the tatami so you should all be very proud.

Thank you to Sensei Remo Angelini and Northern Shukokai for hosting us once again and thank you to Sensei Richard Callaghan and Blackburn Karate Club for your leadership, experience and expertise. It is always great when out 3 clubs come together in the spirit of karate-do.

Thank you to Sensei Tim, Howard, Jimmy, Alice, Thu, Sam, Tim Orr, Johnny, Kane, Grace, Helen, Victor, Mimi and Jason K for your skills in refereeing, judging and running the tables.

Thank you to coaches Jaimie, Nickie, Jess, Minato, Lachie, Harvey, Xav and Ben. Your support of the kids was awesome!

Sakura Karate Club was proud to have Sensei Clarissa Sparnenn take a Taekwondo Class tonight.

Sensei Clarissa holds a 3rd Dan in Taekwondo and has been involved in the art for over 20 plus years.

A seasoned and well travelled athlete who has competed and coached in close to 100 events at State, National and International level.

Special mention for Maxwell West who was successful in attaining his Junior Shodan - great effort.
