COACHES ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Meerlieu Cricket Club is stoked to announce Ashley Miller as Club Coach for the 2026/27 season.

Ash joins the Tussocks with an impressive wealth of experience, both as a player and coach at Premier Cricket level, along with considerable involvement in underage State programs.

More recently, Ash has coached Bundalaguah and Sale in the Sale-Maffra Cricket Association, bringing with him a strong knowledge of local cricket and a proven coaching background.

Away from playing and coaching, Ash also has extensive experience in turf management and ground curation, including time working at one of Australia’s most iconic sporting venues, The Gabba.

We’re thrilled to have Ash on board and look forward to what he will bring to the club in the season ahead.

• Sunday 30th August — 10:30am (BBQ to follow)

🏏 JUNIOR CRICKET TRAINING IS ALMOST HERE! 🏏

The countdown is on! We can’t wait to welcome all of our returning players and hope to meet plenty of new faces as we gear up for another exciting junior cricket season.

📅 First Training: Tuesday, 1st September 2026
📍 Location: West Bairnsdale Oval Nets

🕓 Under 13s: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
🕔 Under 16s: 4.30pm – 5.30pm

🌟 ALL new players are welcome! Whether you’ve played before or are looking to give cricket a go for the first time, we’d love to have you join the Tussocks family.

Cricket Blast is the perfect way for kids to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.
