VacSwim will be running at the pool from 18-28 January 2027, giving children the opportunity to build their swimming and water safety skills over the summer holidays.

🚫 TEMPORARY POOL CLOSURE – MEEKATHARRA SWIMMING POOL 🚫

Unfortunately, due to a Code Brown incident in the pool late on Tuesday evening, the Meekatharra Swimming Pool will be closed for mandatory super-chlorination and thorough cleaning.

🕛 Reopening: Wednesday at 17:00 pm

This process is required to ensure the water is safe and meets health standards before reopening.

👶 Important reminder for parents:
Please ensure children wear swim nappies at all times, and that they are regularly checked and changed throughout the day to help prevent future closures.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation — we look forward to welcoming everyone back later today.

Meekatharra Swimming Pool has just received three brand-new bench seats, strategically placed around the pool so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the day.

A big thank you to the Shire of Meekatharra for these improvements to the facility — it’s all about making the pool a more comfortable and enjoyable space for everyone 👏

Come down for a swim, have a rest between laps, or just chill poolside.
