GEL BLASTERS & AUSTRALIA’S GUN LAWS — WHAT DO YOU THINK?
There’s an important conversation happening around the future of gel blasters in Australia.
One of the biggest changes is at the Australian border — gel ball blasters/skirmish markers are now regulated under fi***rm import controls, with requirements including police certification (B709), serial numbers and safety testing.
Yet here in Queensland, gel blasters are not classified as fi***rms, and you don't need a weapons licence to possess one. There are still strict responsibilities around storage, transport and responsible use.
So here's the question we want to ask our customers and the wider gel ball community:
⚖️ Is this the right balance between community safety and protecting a legitimate recreational sport and industry?
