An album to promote fun and safety in the Coffs Canyon Region. Be sure to get an EARLY start for this long day (start the walk @ 7.00am latest) and check in with someone BEFORE departure and on exit... It can take nearly an hour to walk into the first abseil with a group. An early exit point is up to the right above the fifth abseil called the smoko spot. It is steep so be careful. Retrace your path back upstream. The continuation of the rest of the journey after the fifth abseil is a major undertaking with a group. DO NOT place more slings or bolts in this area, these stainless slings will last and are reportedly deep into the rock and trustworthy. And please do not harm orchids! Stay in the waters' path and leave no trace of your journey. Carrying a Personal Locator Beacon is best practice for this wilderness canyon.
