Early Arms Rifle And Pistol Club Inc We are a family orientated Pistol and Rifle Club located in
McCullys Gap NSW. Both Rifle and Pistol. The club continued to hold regular competitions and events.

We cater for a variety of disclipines including
Target shooting, Hunting and Fi****ms Safety Testing. HISTORY:
The Early Arms Pistol Club held there inaugural meeting on the 10th October 1996. President: R Pring, Secretary J Symington and Captain: H Van Hees (deceased)
The club was affiliated with the NSW Amateur Pistol Association. In 1998 the Early Arms Rifle Club was established

filiated with the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia. In 2001 both clubs were combined and renamed as
The Early Arms Rifle and Pistol Club at this time the club was incorporated. Until in 2011 the property owner Jack Rowan passed away, leaving the club with the possibility that it would have to relocate or cease. The land sat in estate for some years for which time the club continued to operate albeit at a reduced capacity. No large capital was spent on the club grounds or facilities. In 2014 Mark and Deonne Slade (referred to as the owners) made enquiries on purchasing the land. It was their desire to retain the club in its current location. A new Licence Agreement was drawn up and subsequently signed once the sale had been finalised. The owners now hold positions on the Committee of Secretary and Treasurer. RANGE:
The range consists of a 50M pistol range and a 200M rifle and pistol range. The 50M pistol range is located at a 90-degree angle to the 200M rifle and pistol range at approximately the 100M line. The range is currently approved for several disciplines including:
ISSF Pistol, Big Bore Pistol Metallic Silhouette, Rimfire Pistol Metallic Silhouette, NRA Action,
Service Pistol, Black Powder M/L Pistol, Single Action, Clay Target, Rimfire Rifle Metallic Silhouette, Three Position Centre Fire Rifle and Centre Fire Metallic Silhouette.

Guys we have some very big and exciting news 🤩🤩

As most members are aware the club has applied for genuine reasons of target shooting for A,B and H and we a thrilled to announce that we have been approved by the fi****ms registry.

This means we will now be able to push ahead with official scored matches with our shooting days.

Now to add to this good news, a few weeks ago we had Early Arms Rifle And Pistol Club Inc reach out to our President expressing interest in starting some shooting out at Muswellbrook. We had the chance early this morning to head out there and check out their facility and meet Mark and James who own and run the range. The range is 200m hard target approved, for pistols, rimfire and centerfire rifles and shotguns and only 1 and a half hours from Newcastle.

We are thrilled to say that we will be adding even more shooting dates to our calendar starting on the 20th this month!!!

We will be starting out with a basic rimfire PRS match and keeping things relatively simple while we get accustomed to this style of shooting, how the days will run etc etc and for you guys to slowly ease into it.

Our intention is to follow NRL22 rules and regulations for this event classes and structure the PRS course of fire to provide a reasonable challenge for all shooters but not be so difficult that any normal rifle and scope combination can’t hit the targets. This event will be shot out to 200m with 22lr. There will be 5 divisions for people to shoot in depending on the type of firearm you will be using and some other factors, the divisions will be open, basic, women’s, OG/adaptive and juniors. Further details will be provided later about this however for the first match not entirely relevant.

We have further plans for pistol events and other practical matches down the track, however this will take some time to prepare and trial a few things before we take this step.

We are going to strongly encourage everyone who is interested in shooting these events to add target shooting to your license as this will be a mandatory requirement coming into the new membership year in October.

For now keep an eye on the events page on our website for the opening of this match and further details. We encourage everyone to come along and have a go at these events regardless of what gun, gear or experience you have.
