This could well be the event you need to train for (actually just riding is fine 😉) . I’ve have a great relationship with CycleWell and I encourage you to share this with your friends.

In 2023, cycleWELL is organising Australia's FIRST Mixed Surface cycling Tour (aka ) to raise funds to support PREVENTATIVE MENTAL HEALTH solutions in REGIONAL Victoria.

The dates are still to be finalised, but we are hoping to lock in late March or early April.

The statistics below are from the Lifeline Website and are frightening when you consider that they are from BEFORE the COVID pandemic!

We are a regionally based organisation and we don't think it's right that members of our local communities are 2x more likely to die by su***de than our city cousins.

So we're doing something about it...

At cycleWELL, we are committed to helping the Aussie cycling community to build the skills we all need to survive and thrive in this crazy world.

In 2023, we are stepping up for our regional communities in an effort to play our part in generating funding for much needed preventative mental health solutions.

Australia's Su***de Stats 2019:

* Nine Australians die every day by su***de. That’s more than double the road toll.

* 75% of those who take their own life are male.

* Over 65,000 Australians make a su***de attempt each year.

* In 2019, 3,318 Australians took their own life.

* Su***de is the leading cause of death for Australians between the ages of 15 and 44.

* The su***de rate in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is twice that of their non-Indigenous counterparts.

* People in rural populations are 2 times more likely to die by su***de.

* LGBTI+ community members experience significantly higher rates of su***de than the rest of the population.

* For each life lost to su***de, the impacts are felt by up to 135 people, including family members, work colleagues, friends, first responders at the time of death.

* Males aged 85 and older experience the highest age-specific rate of su***de.

* Same-gender attracted Australians are estimated to experience up to 14 times higher rates of attempted su***de than their heterosexual peers.
