BREAKFAST!!
The hardest part about getting back on track is going to be the portion size! While pregnant I ate whatever I wanted and however much of it I wanted! You’re growing a little human, you’re burning so many calories in order to do so, this is no time to worry about your figure in my eyes 🙂
In saying that, I think it’s important to consume nutritious meals! As much as you should enjoy your cravings and naughty meals, don’t forget the balanced diet you had beforehand. Fuel yourself with the right kind of energy throughout the pregnancy, it’ll help you, especially when the fatigue kicks in.
I was a carb monster over the 9 months (could go through a loaf of wholemeal bread within 3 days on my own), so in order to help get back on track I’ve needed to cut the bread out. Not to be extremely strict, but because I enjoy it too much, having 2 slices of toast with boiled eggs would unfortunately only make me feel hungrier 😂 so I substitute for 6x vita wheats, 3x boiled eggs and a low fat, low sugar yoghurt. This will be a midweek breaky for me but I’ll keep you posted on my other recipes 😁
