WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE!📣📣

I’ve had a few people ask to run another challenge, so I’m throwing an expression of interest to see who’d be interested in committing to a 10 week challenge! I’m looking for a minimum of 15 people, going into Winter I’d be running it from Jetts Fitness Wallsend, just to minimise wet weather affecting our training sessions.

6.5 months postpartum!

I’m posting 2 weeks after this photo was taken (because I got busy with work so I become slack with socials…sorry!).

Lockdown looked really different this year with training. I had pretty bad fatigue headaches for the last 8 weeks of lockdown so I stopped any resistance training and just walked with babies and doggo mainly two times a day to get out of the house.
My eating has been quite clean throughout the week and a bit more relaxed over the weekend to enjoy family time, however that looked good wise.
I’ve lost all the baby weight and ended up weighing in a bit less than when I fell pregnant with Nate, in saying that because I stopped the strength training I lost a substantial amount of muscle, so this ideally is not where I like to sit weight or shape wise so I’ll aim to build a little bit more muscle and put a bit of weight on. BUT the headaches are gone and I can train properly now so that’s excellent 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

My 2 favourite exercises from today’s back session.

Lat Pull Down & Bent Over Row

Both common, but so effective! Bub and I take the doggo out for a decent walk every morning and then if Nate is playing nice for the day I’ll try and get down to the gym for a Strength or HIIT session. At the moment I’m getting down to the gym 2-3 time a weeks on top of the morning walks.

The HIIT sessions would be more effective for active calorie burning, but I’ve always loved my strength training so if I find I’m not pushing as hard (I get distracted by Nate) to burn just as many calories or I don’t have as much time I’ll throw skipping in between my sets.

I’ll do my best to video one of my HIIT sessions this week, and the whole thing not just two exercises 😂

BREAKFAST!!

The hardest part about getting back on track is going to be the portion size! While pregnant I ate whatever I wanted and however much of it I wanted! You’re growing a little human, you’re burning so many calories in order to do so, this is no time to worry about your figure in my eyes 🙂
In saying that, I think it’s important to consume nutritious meals! As much as you should enjoy your cravings and naughty meals, don’t forget the balanced diet you had beforehand. Fuel yourself with the right kind of energy throughout the pregnancy, it’ll help you, especially when the fatigue kicks in.

I was a carb monster over the 9 months (could go through a loaf of wholemeal bread within 3 days on my own), so in order to help get back on track I’ve needed to cut the bread out. Not to be extremely strict, but because I enjoy it too much, having 2 slices of toast with boiled eggs would unfortunately only make me feel hungrier 😂 so I substitute for 6x vita wheats, 3x boiled eggs and a low fat, low sugar yoghurt. This will be a midweek breaky for me but I’ll keep you posted on my other recipes 😁

12 weeks difference!! The changes a body goes through is phenomenal! My belly was small in comparison to many others but looking at photos it was big for me and what my size was.
This belly and body is now well on the road to recovery! I’m technically only 4kgs off the start mark, but it won’t look like that for a good while until skin, anatomy etc. settles over time!
BUT I’ve had a few people say that they’re interested in seeing how I’ll go being a PT, with a healthy diet and training routine as well as balancing bub, so now I’m inviting you to join the journey with me. Let’s see what this body can do 😂❤️

HOME SCHOOLING KIDS WORKOUT

Warm up- Tips

Workout (if you can keep them concentrated for 10 minutes you’ve done great! Don’t go too much longer they want to keep it fun)

EXERCISE 1

Donkey Kicks x 20 - make sure they land with soft knees i.e slightly bent

RUN from one side of the backyard to the other. (Make then touch the fence or put a marker out, small goals are great for kids).

EXERCISE 2

Jumping Worms x 8-10 (soft knees on landing)

RUN from one side of the backyard to the other.

Exercise 3

Push-Ups x 10 (every kid love’s showing their strength)

RUN from one side of the backyard to the other.

If you can complete this twice you’ve smashed it👌🏼

KEEPING BUSINESS ALIVE!!!

Location - Grass area at the corner of Wallsend Village (Cnr Bunn Street & Tyrell Street, Wallsend)
YOU MUST RSVP (to maintain group number regulation)

Such a blessed feeling knowing that all your clients want to keep training, within regulations, and head into the wonderful outdoors! I know so many people are missing their gym routines and I've been asked multiple times to start some outdoor training. I've attached different options for everyone and a group timetable to get everyone feeling good, release some endorphins and help you feel healthy throughout this time.

In order to run these sessions social distancing rules will be enforced. Towel use is required during training, you will be provided with sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to maintain sanitation standards a swell as training in 4sqm spaced stations to abide by the regulations.

NB. Session schedule will be updated every 3 days.
