A Huge Milestone for Eureka Skidplates!

Today marks a very special milestone for Janelle and I.

Our very first USA customer, Tim, has received his Eureka Skidplates!

He sent us this message:

I'm honored to be your first USA customer.

Those words mean a great deal to us. Thank you, Tim, for believing in our Australian family business and giving our products a go.

We're also excited that USA metal detecting dealers are showing interest in Eureka Skidplates, and we're looking forward to working with dealers who share our passion for quality products and great customer service.

From a small Australian family business to the American goldfields, this is a milestone we'll never forget.

"Just wanted to say thanks again. I kept the original Minelab one to test, and after just 3 days over harsh ground it had worn through in a spot.
The Eureka Skidplates one has now done 8 days over the same ground and it only has a few scratches. One scratch is a bit deeper because I accidentally hit it hard, but it didn't wear through. It would have busted through the Minelab one for sure.
I'm stoked. Thanks guys!"

Thanks so much, Pete. Feedback like this means the world to Janelle and me. We spent over a year testing and developing our skidplates so they would last longer in the toughest Australian conditions. Hearing results like this makes all the hard work worthwhile.

AUSTRALIAN PROSPECTORS – WE NEED YOUR HELP

For generations, the Tibooburra Common has been a place where everyday Australians have enjoyed recreational prospecting. It has created lifelong memories, lifelong friendships, and has supported local businesses and the entire Tibooburra community.

Today, its future is uncertain.

This isn't about pointing fingers or placing blame. It's about coming together as one prospecting community to help find a positive way forward.

If you believe responsible recreational prospecting should continue at the Tibooburra Common, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Write a respectful email or letter to your local Member of Parliament, NSW Crown Lands, and the organisations involved. Let them know what Tibooburra means to you, your family, and our prospecting community.

If you've visited Tibooburra, tell them your story. Tell them how you've supported local businesses, met new friends, and enjoyed Australia's great outdoors responsibly.

Every respectful voice counts.

As prospectors, we've always looked after our bush, filled in our holes, respected the land, and supported the towns that welcome us. Let's continue to show that we're a community worth listening to.

For those who don't know us, we're Paul and Janelle from Eureka Skidplates, a small Australian family business built by prospectors, for prospectors.
Prospecting isn't just a hobby for us—it's our way of life. My passion for gold prospecting goes back generations. My grandfather was panning for gold in the creeks, and our family's connection to the Australian goldfields stretches all the way back to the gold rush of 1851.
After years of wearing out skidplates in harsh Australian conditions, we decided there had to be a better way. So we spent over a year designing, testing, breaking, improving, and retesting our own skidplates on real goldfields before ever offering them to the public.
Every Eureka Skidplate is designed with one goal in mind: to build a tougher, longer-lasting product that protects your coil without affecting performance.
What started as a simple idea around our campfire has grown into a business supplying prospectors across Australia, and now we're proud to say Eureka Skidplates are reaching American shores as well.
We're incredibly grateful for the support we've received from the prospecting community on both sides of the world. Thank you for welcoming us into your groups and allowing us to share our Aussie-made products with you.
