A message from Amber Mckenzie - Creator / Organiser of the 2026 Biggest Morning Tea & Drive Away Cancer Charity Golf Day

I would firstly like to say a big thankyou to everyone that helped along the way with making these days possible. To the staff that helped, volunteers, golfers, bowlers & so many more, every little bit helped immensely and made both the charity days successful & memorable. This was my third year running the Biggest Morning Tea and it proves to be such a great success every year. We sold 99 tickets, received monetary donations, sold nearly 300 raffle tickets and was donated so many goods. In total for the BMT we raised $4130.

The Drive Away Cancer Day was something new that i created this year in the hope of raising even more support for the cancer council & trying to involve as many different people across the club that i could. We had 72 players on the day, we sold $500 worth of golf shirts, received monetary donations & sold nearly 200 raffle tickets. The day itself raised $2296. This means as a club we can donate $6426 to the Cancer Council thanks to these two events doing so well.
I couldn't be happier at the result and again can't thank everyone involved enough. Holding these kinds of events is something i am deeply passionate about and as these are my last events that i will be hosting at the Maryborough Golf Club, i again couldn't be more grateful & happy with the outcome.

With our team currently being quite small, after careful consideration we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close Bistro trading on Mondays and Tuesdays from 25th May 2026.

This short-term change is necessary to support the health and wellbeing of our hardworking staff during a challenging period. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience as we work through our current staffing constraints. Full 7-day Bistro trading will resume from Monday 15th June 2026.

We would also like to sincerely thank our dear customers and members for your continued support, kindness, and understanding during this time. It truly means a lot to our team and club.

Hi Everyone!

This year the Maryborough Golf Club will again be holding a Biggest Morning Tea in order to raise funds for the Cancer Council to help with finding a cure for this horrible disease.

As seen down below the Morning Tea will be held on Thursday 28th May at 10am.
Tickets are $25 per person and are available to purchase at the front office.

Hi Everyone Amber here,

This year alongside our annual Biggest Morning Tea I have decided to hold a Golf event to try and raise as much money as we possibly can for the Cancer Council!

Cancer is a horrible disease that affects 3 in every 10 Australians so anything we can do to help goes a long way. And I truly hope with this Drive Away Cancer Day & The Biggest Morning Tea we can raise a significant amount for the cause.
