🎉 2026/27 SEASON OPENING DAY 🎉

What a great way to officially get the new bowls season underway at Highland! 🏆

The afternoon was filled with plenty of fun, laughs and a bit of competitive spirit, with our traditional opening activities kicking things off.

A special highlight of the day was our annual donation to Legacy Australia.

Bowls President Tony Lacey was pleased to present Geoff Lovett, representing Legacy, with a cheque for $1,356.70.

A fantastic effort from our members, and a great way to begin another season of bowls at Highland. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came along, participated, helped out and made the day such a success.

The Bowls Club has kicked off the Maryborough Highland Society’s Nepal Flood Relief appeal with a $1,000 donation. ❤️

A huge thank you to our Bowls Subcommittee, who have generously donated $1,000 to kick-start our Nepal Flood Relief Fundraiser.
This fantastic contribution sets the tone for what we hope will be a wonderful community effort as we rally together to support those impacted by the devastating floods in Nepal. With two of our own chefs calling Nepal home, this cause is especially close to the hearts of the Highland Family.
Join us for our Nepalese Buffet Fundraiser on Wednesday 16th September, where 100% of food sales will be donated to flood relief efforts.
Thank you to the Bowls Subcommittee for leading the way and demonstrating what community is all about. Together, we can make a real difference.

VALE LESLIE MOSS

Les Moss was a valued member of Maryborough Highland Bowls who passed away peacefully, and surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, 30th July 2026.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Alby and Corry Moss and the Moss family during this difficult time.
