NO dogs are allowed at Eskdale Park apart from Service Dogs.
This includes puppies as well!!
If you bring your dog/puppy you will be asked to leave.
Reason why dogs are not allowed apart from Service Dogs:
Dogs are not allowed at sports grounds primarily for health and safety, hygiene, and turf protection.
Health and SafetyPlayer protection: Contact sports (like rugby, soccer, and AFL) involve players falling or sliding directly onto the turf, raising injury risks from unexpected obstacles.
Public comfort: Many children and adults are afraid of dogs, and busy game days can easily overwhelm or stress animals.
Distractions: Unpredictable animal behavior can interrupt active training sessions or official match play.
Hygiene and CleanlinessAnimal waste: Leftover dog f***s and urine contaminate the grass and soil, posing a direct health risk to players rolling or sliding on the field.Parasites: Roundworms and other pathogens shed in waste can live in the turf and spread to humans.
Turf and Facility ProtectionSurface damage: Digging, clawing, and heavy running wear down natural grass prematurely.
