Double the excitement at the Borough! 🙌

We’re thrilled to announce the signing of twin brothers Ryan and Josh Thompson for season 2027!

The twins arrive from Clunes Football Club and bring plenty of talent, experience and leadership as we prepare for our return to the MCDFNL.

🏉 RYAN THOMPSON

An absolute star and a massive signing for the Borough! Ryan is an exceptional athlete and one of the most exciting forwards in the region.

Powerful in a one-on-one contest, lightning quick on the lead and capable of taking spectacular hangers, he’s the type of player who can turn a game on its head in a matter of minutes.

Coming off an outstanding season at Clunes, where he led the club’s goalkicking, Ryan brings serious firepower to our forward line.

A former Greater Western Victoria Rebels junior, he has all the attributes to become a genuine match-winner.

🏉 JOSH THOMPSON

A natural leader and fierce competitor, Josh joins us having captained Clunes.

After returning from an ACL injury, Josh has worked his way back into impressive form. A strong intercept defender with excellent hands, he reads the play beautifully and uses his kicking ability to turn defence into attack.

Josh brings leadership, determination and a winning attitude that will be invaluable to our playing group.

Two quality footballers and even better people.

The Borough is Back, and so is Chris Freeman!

A former Maryborough junior with over 150 senior games for the Magpies, Chris returns home for season 2027.

A tough, hard-working midfielder/forward with elite fitness and a proven ability to hit the scoreboard, Chris brings experience, competitiveness and a genuine passion for our Club.

We’re thrilled to welcome Chris back as we continue rebuilding the Borough for 2027 and beyond!

📣 WELCOME TO THE BOROUGH, ANNALYSE CARROLL!

The next chapter of the Borough continues to take shape!

We are thrilled to announce Annalyse Carroll as our A & B Grade Netball Coach for 2027, as we prepare for our return to senior competition in the MCDFNL.

Annalyse brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role, including:
🏐 A & B Grade Coach – Giants, MCDFNL (2024–25)
🏐 A Reserve Coach – Heathcote, HDFNL (2022–23)
🏐 A Reserve Coach – Nightcliff Tigers, Darwin Netball Association (2014–15)
🏐 Junior coaching experience with Heathcote, Huntly and Leeton-Whitton Crows

Annalyse has a strong focus on player development, recognising that every player learns differently, while bringing a great technical knowledge of the game and a passion for teaching structures and developing players.

Just as importantly, Annalyse shares our vision for a welcoming, family-focused and community-minded Club and is excited about the opportunity to help build a strong netball program and positive culture as we enter this exciting new chapter.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Annalyse leading our A & B Grade teams in 2027.

📣 WELCOME HOME, JOEL RADLOF!

The next chapter of the Borough is taking shape!

Maryborough Football Netball Club is thrilled to announce Joel Radlof as our Seniors Coach for 2027, as we prepare for our return to senior football in the MCDFNL.

A proud former Maryborough local, Joel played his junior football with MFNC and now returns home to help lead the rebuild of our senior program.

Joel brings plenty of experience to the role, including:
🏉 More than 200 senior games
🏉 Level 2 AFL coaching accreditation
🏉 Two seasons as Maryborough Rovers Seniors Coach
🏉 Three years as Senior Assistant Coach at Clunes

Most importantly, Joel shares our vision for a welcoming, inclusive and family-friendly Club, with a strong focus on developing players and building a positive culture.

Club President Glen Bardsley said Joel is exactly the type of leader the Club wants guiding its return to senior football.

“We’re excited to welcome Joel back home. He understands the culture we want to create, believes in our values and shares our vision for the future of the Club.”
