On Friday night the GFC Youth Girls played United at Canning Park ⭐️👌
The game started well with both sides trading blows and a lot of end to end football. The tigers had plenty of chances to get on the board but unfortunately couldn't make the most of their opportunities.
United took their chances and led at the half-time break. The second half started like the first with both sides again trading blows. United again made the most of their chances and took the game with a well deserved win. The tigers fought to the end and it was exciting to see the team improvement that was evident in their passing and general play through the middle. Big shout out to Domino's Pizza Maryborough player of the match, Bonnie, playing in a back three tonight. She was aggressive in defence and attack. A constant thorn in the side to the opposition. Great saves by Tilda and a captains game by Tilly. The whole team played well and can hold their heads high at their efforts 👌

Granville's U7's-U9's Girls team played against Sunbury on Friday afternoon with the girls putting on a show!!
Sunbury have some ripper girls but Granville's defence and some brilliant passing, especially from Laila, kept Sunbury's keepers busy 🙌 Paightyn, Laila, Bernie and Amara found the net. Bernie took home the Domino's Pizza Maryborough award this week as she, Lili, Ilah and Pippa's defensive work set up the teams goals with Bernie sending through a ripper through ball for Amara to slot one through. Today's game was a real team effort, well done girls, you are amazing 👏 ☺️

The U7 Tigers had an early morning start on Saturday and were a little slow to get going, taking the first half to settle into the game. However, they kept trying, listened well, and showed great determination.
After halftime, the Tigers came out with renewed energy and started to play more confidently. 🧡🐯
Their passing improved, they supported each other well, and their effort across the field was fantastic. It was great to see them work together and finish the game on a high.
Wel l done to all the Tigers for their effort and sportsmanship. Keep up the great work! 🐯⚽️ The subway sports awards went to Benaiah and Atticus. 🧡

U6 Lions played a brilliant game up against the West Wolves on Saturday.

Lots of dribbling up the pitch, passing the ball off to their team mates & working together. They showed incredible sportsmanship and played with so much passion and pride! Each of them gave 100% even with tired legs and 1 sub. Way to go Lions! 🦁🧡

The subway player of the match this week went to Rhyley for his absolute ripper goal! ⚽️

So very proud of how far this team have come since the start of the season! 🧡⚽️🧡

The Granville U9 Tigers played against a strong Tinana team on Saturday. The team had their work cut out for them in defence, however they never gave up, giving it their all until the end. Well done to Alex for slotting a well-deserved goal in the first-half. Good work team 👏

Granville's U8's played against Tinana this weekend with both teams showing improved passing and defensive work with a lot of shots on goals! 🙌🧡🐯
As per usual, Madison, Laila, Jaxson and Arlo stood up in defence with Austin, Tanna, Ben, Byron and Archer busy in attack. Archer and Ben kept the scores even with Archer scoring and Ben keeping a number of chances out when he donned the gloves.
Domino's Pizza Maryborough award this week went to Paightyn, she is a pocket dynamo and someone that just loves to play football and just at home having shots, defending or supporting. Nice game Paightyn and great games Tigers 🐅 😊

On Friday night the GFC Youth Girls played Tinana at Canning Park ⭐️
The game started well and both sides played some excellent football and were matching each other around the park. The score remained nil all for most of the match with the Granville team defending strongly against a strong Tinana offence. It wasn’t until late in the first half that Tinana scored a fine goal to go into half-time with the lead. The Tinana team came out the stronger in the second half and scored from the start.
From there they dominated the game and were well deserved winners.
Domino's Pizza Maryborough Player of the match went to Summah. Playing her first year of football, she has been improving over the weeks and tonight filled the wing and fullback position 🐯🙌🧡
