The club consisted of 1 junior team (U-10) coached by Ian Van Lathum and was originally called Granville Tinana. In 1974 the club branched out on its own with the 1st committee consisting of President Jim Knight, Vice President Phyllis Findlay, Secretary/Treasurer Ann Van Lathum, Patron Barry Dau. ⚽️ U13 GRAND FINAL ⚽️
U13 Tigers played Fraser Flames in the Wide Bay South Div 1 Grand Final on Saturday.
We started off slow and tried to ease into the game but Flames came out strong and fast. They scored 4 goals in the first 17 minutes which had us in the back foot. In true Granville style we never gave up and from there we started to get back in the match through some quality passing which created a few scoring opportunities which we were denied each time. The team continued to scramble well in defence and tried to build up from the back line but Flames weren’t going away. We continued to have shots on goal but couldn’t find the target.
Every player put in 100% all match and finally Cameron found the back of the net with a strong strike from well outside the box with a minute left in regulation making the final score 5-1.
It just wasn’t our day and Flames played an outstanding game. ⚽️

A big thanks to all the parents and GFC supporters for coming to the match and cheering for the kids. 🔥

💥DIV 1 LADIES 2026 RUNNERS UP💥
Friday night saw our Granville FC Ladies make the trip to the Fraser Coast Sports Precinct to take on Fraser Flames in the 2026 Division 1 Grand Final.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t go the Tigers’ way, but the scoreboard will never tell the full story of this team, this season, or the incredible group of women who wore the orange and black with so much pride. 🐯

From the sidelines, the result may have looked one-sided, but what the scoreboard doesn’t show is the heart, courage, determination and sheer grit shown by our Ladies throughout the entire 90 minutes.

Not one player took a backwards step.

Every tackle.
Every run.
Every challenge.
Every battle.

They continued to fight for one another, fight for the jersey and give everything they had right up until the final whistle.

And for that, the entire Granville Football Club family could not be prouder. 🧡🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who travelled to the Sports Precinct to support our Ladies.
To those who stood in the stands, cheered, encouraged and made their voices heard — you were incredible.

Having such amazing support behind the team made the occasion even more special and showed our Ladies just how much they mean to this Club.

What this team has achieved throughout 2026 is something to be incredibly proud of.
The growth, development, resilience and togetherness shown throughout the season has been nothing short of outstanding.

From the opening game to the final whistle of the Grand Final, this group has represented Granville Football Club with pride, passion and determination.

They may have finished the season as Grand Final runners-up, but they leave the field knowing they gave everything they had.

Heads held high, Ladies. 🐯

You have made your Club, your teammates, your families and your supporters incredibly proud.

Thank you for an unforgettable Season 2026.

We can't wait to see what the future holds for this incredible group.
🧡🖤 ONE CLUB. ONE FAMILY. TIGER PROUD. 🖤🧡

U13 played the preliminary final on Saturday against KSS Jets.
It was a strong start by us in a seesawing match.
We got on the board first through a rocket onto the top left from Riley but just before half time Jets scored 2 quick goals. 5 mins after the break, Ryder levelled the scores with a 1 v 1 with the keeper.
Jets hit the lead again but late in the game Cameron had a free kick from just inside our half. He struck it well and was heading in the top left corner of the goal until the keeper got across to it. Riley jumped and headed it into the goal giving him a hat trick and levelled the scores at 3 all. This is how regular time ended.

The first half of extra time had us go up with Callen scoring 1 v 1 with the keeper. Then with 15 seconds left in the match Jets scored the equaliser taking us to a penalty shootout.

Jets had the first shot in the shootout and after Kael had made some great saves during the game he stood up big time to stop 2 penalties and force a miss on another.
Cameron and Owen slotted their penalty’s and then it was Callen’s turn as our 5th taker. He had the chance to win the game for us if he scored. Callen steps up to the spot calm and collected placed the ball down and bangs it home to send us through to the grand final with a final score of 4-4 (3-2)!!!

Thanks to all the supporters who got us across the line. 1 game to go!!
Hope to see all our supporters cheering us on 👌🧡⚽️🐯

Happy Father's Day!!!Wishing them all a very happy day 🧡🧡🧡
