After 13 years in the show ring, my gorgeous Cricket is hanging up the halter!
What an amazing journey we’ve had together. She has taught me so much and we have created moments I will treasure always. She has won at every level throughout her career, from club shows to National Championships, she always gives me everything she has and is flawless and reliable. No horse deserves this more.
She will now spend her days a lady of leisure with her best friend in the world Prada.
Happy Retirement My Princess Potato, thank you for everything ###x

last weekend we attended the AMHS National Championships, to say it was a great show is an understatement!

Ace did extremely well, bringing home two National Supreme titles and qualifying for both Overall Best Trot and Ultimate Gelding. He wasn't the judges choice for these titles be he gave me everything he had and I couldnt be proud of him.

Habiby and I made our first entrance in the ring together with some excellent placings. Considering I only meet him on Thursday for the first time and jumped straight into the ring the next day, Im very keen to see what we can achieve this year.

Thank you to the committee, judges, stewards, ring crew, volunteers and sponsors for a great show. Without you, we couldnt do what we love and your dedication and time is valued beyond measure.

In our journey of exploring our next step, I have had some amazing people in our Mini equine world offering me some sensational horses. All I can say is a huge thank you to everyone, I’m so humbled that you consider us a safe and trusted home for your fur babies.

Anyone who knows me well, knows I fall in love with the horses I have in my life and always look for what they can teach me about myself and how to improve who I am as a horse person and this little man I’m hoping will teach me new lessons.
I’m so excited to welcome Triple H Mr Lockdown aka Habiby to the Della Vaiga Park Team.

A massive thank you to Sam and Jessy for trusting me with leasing this handsome man. I look forward to stepping out in the Western and performance ring soon.

Yesterday we kicked off the first show of the year with the AMHS NSW Southern Summer Show in Goulburn. It was a boys day out in the wind and the rain but as you can see, they did me proud.

Was our last show with Jasper and he has come a long way in a short time. He was solo for a few of his events but he worked the house down with his trot classes and was awarded Overall Best Trot of Show, out running me at times 😜

Ace’s held the banner again for his category and was an absolutely good boy doing his job to perfection, although he wasn’t awarded any overalls this time he dealt with the condition like the rockstar he is. Love my boy ###

Thank you to Jenelle for running a great show and thank you to the judges, stewards and volunteers for coming out to support the day.

Today little Jasper left for his new home. Over our short chapter together he has reminded me that patience and persistence earns trust which is more rewarding than any ribbon. His sweet affectionate nature I will miss the most. Thank you Dalene and Chris from Gardenia Park for allowing me to have this little man with us. Good luck sweet boy

And that’s a wrap for Della Vaiga Park for 2025! What an amazing year we’ve had. I am beyond proud of my little team and what we have achieved. Here’s our final tally from 9 Shows:

3 x RESERVE CHAMPIONS
13 x CHAMPIONS - including 1 State Champion and 1 National Champion
8 x SUPREMES - including 1 National Supreme
5 x OVERALLS TITLES
2 x ULTIMATE SUPREME TITLES - including 1 State Title

Next to my family, my horses are my life. They bring me so much that only horse people understand. I am honored to own them and am equally as honored to have others trust me with their horses as well. I do this because I love it and because there is no better feeling in this world then to have that horse trust you back.

That being said, after a very long process of deciding what I want to do next with my team, I’ve decided that next year I’m hoping to add another permanent horse to our team.
I’ve contemplated breeding my own with Prada but I’m not one to put her in any unnecessary risk so I will be keeping my eye out for someone young that I can bring on and train mostly myself.

So bring on 2026! I hope it is as amazing as this one has been.

I also got runner up in the Festive Fashions class with the super unimpressed Sassy, who had a “omg what is she wearing” look on her face the whole time 🤣 thank you Kristy for loaning her to me for the class ###

Friday marked 8 years of having this beautiful horse in my life and yesterday she headed off on her next chapter to partner with a gorgeous new rider. I hope she brings you everything she’s given me and you have some wonderful adventures together.

🏆 AMHS NSW STATE SUPREME ULTIMATE GELDING EXHIBIT 🏆

Last weekend the team attended the AMHS NSW State Championships at the Sydney Equestrian International Center. To say I’m happy with my little equines is an understatement. They all tried their little hearts out and push through a long, hot and tiering weekend.

Miss Cricket was her flawless self in the ring despite being unsettled most of the weekend which is very unlike her. Might be time for a little break from the ring but we’ll see how she is next year.

Jasper had a moment of being overwhelmed when we first arrived but he settled down well before his classes started and was a great boy for the rest of the weekend. He tried his best every time I asked anything from him and that was all I wanted.

Ace was a rockstar! He looked amazing and did his job even when there was very little left in the tank. We had a goal to place well enough to be eligible to challenge for the State Supreme Ultimate Gelding title and I’m ecstatic we exceeded that goal by being awarded the title for the second year in a row!

I love my little equine family and very proud to be able to show them.

Congratulations to the AMHS committee for a great show and a massive thank you the judges, stewards, volunteers and sponsors. Couldn’t do any of this without you.

Special shoutout to Pete for being an amazing announcer all weekend. Thank you ☺️

Ace and I went solo today and attended the annual Picton Show with a busy morning. He was a little concerned about the activity around the ringside but he tried to keep focused and do his job. Super proud of my boy as always and brought home some great placings. The last few shows have been a great warm up to the state championships and am keen to see how we go.
