The heavy fog didn't stop our parkrun family this morning! 😶‍🌫️ We had an incredible 156 participants 🏃🏻‍♀️ on the course, with 37 of you achieving new PBs! A massive shout out 📣 to the Elara Run Club pacer crew 🫶 for leading our first-ever pacer event, and for guiding the community to the finish line! 🙌 Well done to everyone who committed to getting up, getting ready, and bringing the energy to today's parkrun! ⚡

Pacer Day 🎯 is officially here, and we hope you're ready to chase down a new PB this Saturday! 🏃‍♀️ The fantastic crew from Elara Run Club will be out on the course in timed bibs, ready to share expert tips, chat, and keep your motivation high, from start to finish. ⚡️ Pick your target time, lock in a steady pace, and let's give it everything you've got! 🙌

📲 Register for free to join parkrun: https://www.parkrun.com.au/register/ and bring your barcode (either digital on your phone/watch, or printed out) to get a timed result at the finish line! ⏱️

Your Run Directors this Saturday are Bohan & Tim, and they’ll be bringing the cheers and energy your way, with our incredible vollie crew! 🌟

This Saturday, 13-June, the awesome Elara Run Club crew is taking over our course as vollie pacers! 🙌 Whether you're chasing down a new PB, training for your next 5km, or 10km event, or looking to steady your pace on a long run, 🏁 this is the perfect chance to see where you're at. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Lace up your shoes, set your target, and.. let's do it! 🤩

Age is no barrier at parkrun! ✨ One of the best things about Saturday mornings is seeing the community - of all ages and fitness levels - together on the course. 🌳 Well done Rhodes parkrun, what an inspiring event! 🫶

Our Over Eighties celebration will go down as one of those truly special days — the kind that remind you exactly why we do this.

The numbers speak for themselves: 34 volunteers, walkers and runners in the over 80 cohort — plus 18 in the 70 to 80 category. But the numbers don't come close to capturing the atmosphere. It was electric!

Every participant had their own story, and some travelled from far and wide to be part of this one. The sense of community, the conversations, the smiles — it was something else entirely.

Thank you to each and every person who came out to volunteer, walk, run, or simply soak it all in. You made it what it was.

💬 Rhodes parkrun

Post-parkrun coffee at Leaf Cafe & Co Marsden Park is a weekly tradition, even if some of us arrive a bit late after packing up! ☕️

Over coffee, we chatted with Zunairah and her family. They started parkrun with us just five weeks ago on a whim, and now it's a regular Saturday commitment. 🙌 Zunairah even joined the volunteer crew this weekend for the very first time! We love seeing our community grow like this, and we can't wait to meet more friendly faces at Leaf Cafe & Co.🌳
