Dear DMA Members and Well-Wishers,
We are delighted to invite you and your family to the Grand Finale of Kalikkalam 2026, which will be celebrated as a vibrant Sports Day on Saturday, 13 June 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bagot Oval.
The Sports Day will officially commence with an Opening Ceremony at 3:00 PM, inaugurated by Mr. Matthew Kerle MLA.
The Closing Ceremony will begin at 8:00 PM, with The Honourable Jinson Anto Charls MLA, Northern Territory Minister for Multicultural Affairs, attending as the Chief Guest.
During the Closing Ceremony, the Chief Guest will present trophies and medals to the winners of the various sporting, intellectual, and recreational competitions organised at different locations across Darwin over the past three months as part of Kalikkalam 2026.
A wide range of exciting sporting and recreational activities has also been organised for Sports Day. There will be competitions suitable for children, adults, and senior members of the community, giving people of all ages an opportunity to participate, enjoy themselves, and celebrate the spirit of friendship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
Kalikkalam 2026 has brought our community together through sports, recreation, talent, and shared experiences. The Grand Finale will be a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of all participants, congratulate the winners, and celebrate the efforts of everyone who helped make the program successful.
