Sydney Bowmen Archery Club

Sydney Bowmen Archery Club The longest running archery club in Australia. We welcome children, women and men of all ages, nationalities, and abilities.

(For more info on trying archery, see pur webdite or the Description in our About section.) We're Australia's longest running archery club! We also have Come and Try sessions for people who have never picked up a bow before. Our Archery Australia certified coaches will give you a safety lesson and teach you the basics before you shoot on our Beginners range. Our Come and Try sessions are at 10:15

to 12 midday on Sundays (except the last Sunday of every month and long weekends). The cost includes the use of our bows and arrows. Spaces are limited to 24 so please book via our website here: https://sydneybowmen.com.au/programs-offered/

Club fees:
- Come and Try session: Adults $20, ages 8-18 years $10.
- Beginners shooting: $20 per session under the supervision of coaches. Beginners must have completed a Come and Try session and must book via our website each time.
- Membership: Adults $170 per year, Juniors 8-18 years $120 per year. Fees paid to Archery Australia, no additional club fees. Join via our website.
- Members shooting: $5 per session, includes use of club bows for new members.

For years, we’ve been asked whether Benson Archery buys second-hand archery equipment.

After plenty of discussion and a few trial runs, we’re now ready to make it official!

We’re now accepting online submissions for your used archery equipment.

If you have a bow, accessories or other archery gear you’re looking to sell, simply fill out our online form with the details and we’ll take a look.

We’ll assess each submission and let you know if it’s something we’re interested in purchasing.

It’s something our customers have been asking for for a long time, so we’re excited to finally offer it!

We have a State Champion in our midst! Our very own club secretary, Serina, is the NSW State Champion! 🎉

Serina claimed GOLD at the Archery NSW State Short Course Championships 2026, competing in the Women’s Longbow 60+ division across distances of 50m, 40m, and 30m.

Please join us in congratulating Serina on this brilliant result. She’s not only keeping our club organised behind the scenes, but also flying our flag on the competition floor!

Anyone can enter! The 2026 National Indoor Championships will be happening across Australia on the 22-23 August 2026.

The 2026 National Indoor Championships run across Australia on 22 and 23 August 2026. Rather than a single venue, the event is hosted at clubs in multiple states, so archers can compete close to home.
