That thing that you so deeply and truly want but doesn’t seem to manifest.
Not a vision problem.
Not a strategy problem.
Not a lack of desire or clarity or intention.
You know what you want.
And still nothing moves.
That’s fear, and fear is connected to the root chakra, to the body, and to the nervous system.
The root chakra lives in your energetic body. It’s also extremely closely linked to the more dense structures you have, the fascia, the bones, the nervous system.
The parts of you that hold the oldest patterns and the deepest memory.
Even things that are not yours.
The Root is also ancestral.
It’s the place in you that decides whether it’s safe to receive, safe to take up space, safe to reach for something real, safe to let what you want actually land.
When that place is out of balance, you don’t just feel ungrounded.
You feel the contraction.
The hesitation.
The voice that says wait, not yet, what if it doesn’t work.
That’s not you being weak or spiritually misaligned.
That’s your system running a protection response, doing its job so well it’s keeping you from your own life.
And here’s what shifted for me on a walk the other day.
Making that connection, root chakra as the nervous system, fear as the actual blocker, the body as the site of all of it, that’s what makes somatic work land differently.
Because when you understand that grounding is energetic work, that orienting and resourcing and coming back into the body isn’t just a calming technique but the actual mechanism for building ground to receive, the practices stop being clinical.
You’re not just regulating.
You’re building the foundation that lets you call things in.
