Club Maroochy are looking at starting a social Bowls competition of either jackpot scroungers or pairs on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. We are looking to start the competition as soon as we get the numbers.

CLUB MAROOCHY PREMIER LEAGUE UPDATE

Gidday all,

After beating one of the heavyweights in Musgrave Hill, we travelled to Paradise Point.

The team started well, with Tyson and Ashley’s rinks both recording wins. Unfortunately, Allan and Paul’s rinks went down, and Paradise Point took the overall honours.

Paradise Point 81 defeated Club Maroochy 65.

A great effort from everyone across the weekend. As your Bowls Director, I’m proud of the determination and commitment you continue to show.

Heads up, team — back on the horse next weekend!

Dear Members, Guests, Visitors and Friends of Club Maroochy,

It’s been another fantastic week of bowls at Club Maroochy, with plenty of great competition, camaraderie and fun on the greens.

Attached are this week’s results, featuring our “Best of the Best” for the week.

Div 4 is now 1pm

Outstanding results for Club Maroochy today, with four of our five Pennant teams bringing home a win!

Division 1 secured a thrilling one-shot victory, while Division 2 narrowly went down by just five shots in a hard-fought contest.

Today’s results:

✅ Division 1: Maroochy 64 defeated Coolum Beach 63

🔹 Division 2: Palmwoods 59 defeated Maroochy 54

✅ Division 4: Maroochy 70 defeated Coolum Beach 48

✅ Division 5: Maroochy 72 defeated Pelican Waters 45

✅ Division 7: Maroochy 52 defeated Pelican Waters 47

So on the 12 September it looks like this,

Div 4 will play Buderim at Coolum at 1 pm

Div 5 will play Palmwoods at Coolum at 9 am

Div 7 will play Woombye at Coolum at 9am.

Unfortunately our Div 1 finished equal 3rd but missed out on for and against.

Div 2 where competitive all year but finished 8th.

As your Bowls Director, I am extremely proud of every player who has represented Club Maroochy throughout this Pennant season.

💙🤍 A REMARKABLE COMEBACK BY MAROOCHY! 🤍💙

As your Bowls Director, I am extremely proud of our Premier League team, who today achieved an outstanding comeback.

Defeating one of the competition’s strongest teams, Musgrave Hill, by a single shot is a remarkable accomplishment. It was an impressive display of determination, teamwork and composure right through to the final bowl.

• Allan Newman’s rink 17 — defeated by Ryan George Peter Bester’s rink 19.

Despite his young age, Joey brings a wealth of talent and experience to our Premier League team.

Joey’s outstanding achievements include:

●Competing at the 2025 World Bowls Indoor Championships.

● 2025 Australian Open Under-18 Boys’ Singles Champion

●The first bowler in Australian Open history to successfully defend the Under-18 Boys’ Singles title.

●2024 Australian Open Pairs Champion.

●Member of the 2026 Australian National Development Squad
