Moonee Valley Knights MVK was established in 1986 – known then as The Pharos, fielding a Men’s team.

Over years, the club started youth and women's teams with now more than 150 juniors and over 200 players overall.

FULL TIME at Doyle Street.

A massive day for the Knights as the Seniors return to the top of the table after a hard-fought 2-0 victory over a very tricky Melbourne City outfit.

Goals from Tyler and Darshan secured all three points in a professional performance, with the boys showing patience, discipline and quality when it mattered most.

The Reserves will be feeling unlucky not to take all three points. After falling behind 1-0, the boys responded brilliantly to lead 2-1 and created enough chances to put the game to bed. Unfortunately, a penalty with the last kick of the match saw the points shared in a 2-2 draw.

After 12 rounds:
🔝 Seniors sit top of the table
🥈 Reserves remain inside the top two
🔥 Both teams continue to set the standard.

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support the Knights. The business end of the season is approaching, and the boys are giving us plenty to be excited about.

Halfway through the season and the challenge doesn’t get any easier.

This Saturday we welcome Melbourne City FC to Avondale Heights Reserve as our Seniors and Reserves look to continue building momentum in a crucial Round 12 clash.

The boys have worked hard all week and will need your support as we enter the second half of the season.

What feels like yesterday was Round 1 against Melbourne City. Now we’re already at the halfway mark of the season.

The boys have put themselves in a strong position, but the job is far from done. Another big challenge awaits this Saturday as we welcome Melbourne City FC to Avondale Heights.

Massive day for the Knights.

Two more wins on the road and six more points in the bag.

Reserves kept finding a way, grinding out a 1-0 win with Andy T. on the scoresheet.

Seniors put on a show, running out 4-1 winners. A Wali double, plus goals from Suvy and Darshan, capped off another strong performance.

11 rounds in and the boys keep building momentum. Every week different players stepping up, everyone doing their job, and the group continues to grow.

Pasta night at training with the future of the Moonee Valley Knights. ❤️🖤

In 20 years’ time, don’t be surprised if this photo makes a real Throwback Thursday special. Some of these kids will still be pulling on the Knights jersey, coaching the next generation, or running the club themselves.

For now, it’s just football, friends and a bowl of pasta after training. ⚽🍝

FIRST EVER FRIDAY NIGHT GAME. STATEMENT MADE.

Under the lights. In front of our community. In our first ever Friday night match as a club.

And the Knights delivered.

🔴⚫ Seniors 2-1 Heidelberg Stars
Goals: Captain Santosh and Darcy

With less than 30 seconds remaining, Darcy found the winner to send Doyle Street into absolute scenes. A captain’s goal, a last-gasp winner, and three massive points.

The dynamic duo were at it again, both finding the scoresheet as the Reserves continued their impressive season and secured another important three points.

A special night for our club, our players, our volunteers and our supporters who turned out and created an atmosphere worthy of the occasion.

Throwback Thursday… Friday edition 🤦‍♂️

One, because there’s a massive game tonight.
Two, because the admin genuinely forgot what day it was 😂

Have a look at one of the very first invoices in club history from back in 1987 when we were still the Pharaohs Soccer Club.

18 soccer balls for $12 each… shorts for under $2… and a pump for $5.
Safe to say inflation is very, very real 😅

From these handwritten invoices to where the club is today — 40 years later — it’s pretty special to look back at how it all started.

The history, the people, the growth… all part of the journey ❤️🖤
