Barkly Street Uniting Cricket Club We are one of the longest running clubs in the City of Maribyrnong.

Currently we are fielding 5 senior mens and womens teams as well as junior teams for boys and girls from Under 11’s upwards.

Huge news for the Dragons 🐉

We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Jack Cook as Head Coach of the Barkly Street Uniting Cricket Club for the upcoming season.

Jack returns to Barkly Street after previously playing at the club and coaching our Under 15s across seasons 2023/24 and 2024/25. He brings strong cricket knowledge, leadership and a genuine connection to the people and culture that make this club special.

Here’s what Jack had to say about returning to the Dragons:

“Very proud and excited to be appointed Head Coach of the club.
Having previously played for this club, I already know how special the people and culture are here. It’s an honour to return in this role and help lead the next chapter for the Dragons.

Can’t wait to get started with the players, volunteers and supporters. Big things ahead 🐉”

Congratulations to both our junior teams playing finals tonight.

Commiserations to our U16 boys team (joint with Maribyrnong Park) who went down in their Grand Final against Tullamarine in a hard fought match but had a good season led by Coach Sean Brophy, Manager Jason Hellwig and regular scorer Shannan Stevens.

Congratulations to our U13 boys who won their semi and will contest the Grand Final next week led by Coach Adam Wilson and the Dolence’s.
