Slings Mofascial Training are movement freedom and love of movement. The interplay and collaboration of muscles and fascia provide internal support, energy efficiency and adaptability to different life circumstances. The combination of Slings and Pilates optimises structural balance in the body, which improves your athletic performance, and functionality in daily life. Slings Myofascial Training
It is a fascia-focussed body-minded movement method. This integral mat-based training can be enhanced and adapted with massage balls or other small supportive props. In this class the focus lies on the health-enhancing qualities of fascia, which contribute to the balance of your posture, movement efficiency and your vitality. The contrasting movement sequences contain dynamic and rhythmical, as well as soft and melting exercises in all body positions. The method is based on new findings in fascia research and movement science. The sense of well-being and freedom after a Slings class is priceless! Movement Therapy & Slings
Movement therapy is divers, and its richness is optimally enhanced with the fascia-focussed Slings Myofascial Training concept. The focus lies on you alone; your long and short-term goals, which can range from rehabilitation to better athleticism or just being more at home in your body. The integral exercises are mat-based and can be enhanced with massage balls or other small supportive props. Through the integration of Slings Myofascial Training physical resources are further strengthened and structural balance is optimised. This enhanced movement efficiency and self-healing capacities are being activated. The person is integrally supported in the somatic and psycho-emotional processes. “I attended one of Mumu’s retreats in September 2024.

I arrived with an open mind and a desire to spend some time with myself after going through
significant changes, both professionally and personally. I was feeling a little lost, and the
retreat gave me the opportunity to look inward and begin feeling safer in my own skin.

What helped me most was how much the skills and habits I developed during the retreat
continued to support me long after it ended.

In mid-2025, I faced a major health challenge that brought significant physical changes.

My upper body is now learning to organize itself around this new foundation. My shoulder girdle and neck are finding their balance on this new base of support. It’s an interesting conversation between structure, freedom, boundaries, expression, and creativity.

This is one small glimpse into how FAMO influences my life.

If you know me, you know I love sharing about it. But more importantly, I practise it. Regularly. It helps me attune to what I need each day, settle my nervous system, and create a sense of ease from the inside out.

Because when I truly feel at home in my body, my mind can soften, expand, and rest there too.

Why FAMO? Why movement? Why get on the mat?

There are many reasons. Some days they're different. Some days it's the same reason I've returned to for years:

To feel at home in my body.
There were times when I didn't feel that way. Years of chronic pain, followed by years of niggles and discomfort, often made me question my body's capacity and resilience. Looking back, I can see it was never just physical. There were physical layers, psycho-emotional layers, and everything in between.
These days, caring for this body-mind that I experience life through feels like an honour. I take that responsibility seriously, but I also have a lot of fun with it.

FAMO (Fascia Movement) has been one of the most supportive tools in helping me reconnect with my body, trust its intelligence, and step back into movement with courage. It has helped me feel somatically at home again.
Nearly 24 years after chronic pain began, and many years beyond that of navigating discomfort and compensation patterns, I don't take that feeling for granted.
One thing I've learned is that when we improve our sensory awareness, we gain access to better information. We can feel what we need more clearly. Right now, my pelvis is continuing to realign from an old torque pattern, one that was likely already present but was certainly amplified by an injury in my early twenties.

At almost 46, this process is giving me an entirely different experience of myself. The way my foot meets the ground. The freedom through my pelvis and back. The way I perceive support, movement, and space.
And it's not just physical. Every shift in the body creates ripples emotionally, mentally, and creatively… PART 2 is following
