Next chapter has begun for us at Williams Motorsport with Izaak making his debut in Junior Sedans at Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway!

A massive amount of effort has gone into this over the last two weeks when Izaak dropped the bomb that he wanted to go racing, so with a swift ring around it was game on!

First and Foremost Ben Hands! One of the most amazing people on the planet. He helped Izaak in many many different ways from beingg his first driving teacher cause dad wasn’t good enough 🤣🤣, to being the very bloke that basically built the entire car!

To the next group of people for being there for Izaak with words of wisdom and jobs on the car thank you so very much!

Firstly, huge thanks goes to Adrian Whild for the loan of his BA Falcon for the Williams Motorsport team. We cannot express our gratitude in words but know that we appreciate it more than ever!!

So, here we are! We have our bum in a seat… But it’s a Falcon!

Alex made the decision to race the Aussie Title at Bunbury Speedway probably a month or so ago and we just had to find a car to do so! We got the ok from Adrian and had a run in Manjimup last weekend to get the feel of it and now, here we are!

We wish Alex and the crew in the pits the best of luck tonight. This is about having fun and giving it a fair go!

As we farewell the 2021/2022 racing season we would like to take a brief moment to reflect on the season that was…

🏁🏁Starting off at Ellenbrook Speedway in October we secured a ripper start to the season placing 2nd in our first hit out in the Sprintcar.

🏁🏁We also notched up our debut victory in the Production Sedan at Manjimup Speedway in October

🏁🏁Manjimup Speedway ran in late November which saw our close friend Rod Allen visiting from the eastern states manage to pop down south and go for a skid in the production sedan and Alex in the Sprintcar finishing in the top 5.

🏁🏁December we made the long trek down the road to Jeff Pahl’s place (Kalgoorlie) with the Sprintcar, had an absolute shocker but charged from the back to finish 4th in the feature. Was great to catch up with Jeff and his family again.

🏁🏁 The Heidi Robinson Memorial highlighted January with the team jumping aboard this great cause and wrapping one of the wings in Superkids Superheroes colours for the remainder of the season to raise awareness for these legends.

🏁🏁 We also secured our second podium for the season at home which for Alex was the ultimate highlight of his career so far.

🏁🏁 February was relatively quiet for the team with some poor results in both catogories mainly due to bad luck and part failure.

🏁🏁 Narrogin was the only highlight of March with the team securing a heat win to start on the front row of the final all for it to go south with another part failure setting is back for the remainder of the night.

🏁🏁 A 4th placed finish in the Ray Finlan Memorial taught us a lot about the Production Sedan on a tricky track.

🏁🏁 We missed out on our scheduled Sprintcar State Title in April due to Covid 19 isolation mandates.

🏁🏁April, second feature win for the season came around in the production sedan at Margaret River on night 1 of the 2 day Easter spectacular.

🏁🏁 Pithara brought us some great results through out the night with tyre failure unfortunately letting us down but we welcomed a new major sponsor to the team!

Managed to secure Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway’s Production Sedans overall season points at there presentation night over the weekend at Manjimup Gateway Hotel!

Brilliant club filled with fantastic people and has been for years. They’ve got a massive season ahead an we can’t wait to be there to support them.
