📢 Training Day Update – iPad Training Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the iPad training session scheduled for this morning has been cancelled.

The Training Day will still be going ahead as planned, with all dressage tests and jumping rounds running as normal.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you at the grounds for a great day of riding and learning.

📣 Calling All Future Dressage Pencillers! 📣

With electronic scoring becoming the new norm, we’re looking for volunteers who would like to learn how to use our new iPad scoring system for dressage competitions.

This weekend is the perfect opportunity to get familiar with the technology in a relaxed and supportive environment before it becomes standard at our events.

🕘 Join us at 9:00am Saturday for a quick run-through and practice session, then stay and sit in during the dressage tests to have a go yourself with guidance and support.

No experience necessary just a willingness to learn and help out. It’s a great way to support our club and gain valuable competition experience.

If you’ve ever thought about helping as a penciller, we’d love to see you there! 😊

🐴 Dressage – 10:00am start• Tests 2 & 3 available

🐴 Show Jumping – 10:30am start• Lead Rein (35cm) to 1.00m

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a relaxed and supportive environment, whether you're introducing a young horse, building confidence, or preparing for upcoming competitions.

Our dressage judges will also be using the club's new iPad scoring system as part of their training, helping both riders and officials develop their skills together.

❄️ BACK TO BASICS WINTER SERIES ❄️

Our first clinic is just around the corner!

Join Rachel Brennen on **13–14 June** for two days focused on building strong foundations through structured groundwork and ridden lessons in small, supportive groups.

Whether you're working with a young horse, bringing a horse back into work, or looking to refine established skills, these sessions are designed to provide clear guidance, individual feedback and practical exercises you can take home and continue to build on.

Places are limited to ensure quality instruction and plenty of individual attention.

📰 Margaret River Horse & Pony Club making headlines! 🐴✨

We are incredibly proud to see our club featured in this week’s Augusta Margaret River Mail not once, but twice!

💛 Our annual Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser run by amazing club members Karen and Annette brought together riders, horses, families, local businesses and supporters for a fantastic day of fun, friendship and fundraising. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised an amazing $1,628 for Cancer Council Australia – more than three times our original goal.

🏆 We were also thrilled to see coverage of the opening round of our Margaret River Horse & Pony Club Dressage Series, showcasing the wonderful combinations, achievements and sportsmanship of our riders and horses.

These articles are a wonderful reminder that our club is about so much more than riding. We are proud to provide opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities while building friendships, supporting our local community and creating memorable experiences with our horses.

A huge thank you to the Augusta-Margaret River Mail for featuring our club, and to all of our members, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who help make these events possible. ❤️

☕️Put the kettle on… it’s time for a cuppa (and cake!))

We’re hosting a Cancer Council Australia Biggest Morning Tea and you’re invited!

📆 Tuesday 26 May

📍Margaret River Horse and Pony Club

Come along for a relaxed, feel-good morning to connect, share a cuppa and enjoy some delicious treats – all while supporting a great cause

No need to bring a horse or pony (unless you really want to), but if you do feel like riding, you’re welcome to join our Adult Riders session from 10–11am (financial members only for riding).

Otherwise, just come along to watch, have a laugh, enjoy the atmosphere and soak up the morning.

💛 Bring a plate - cake or treats (sweet or savory)

💙 Need to clear out that tack shed? Have some extra jams/potted plants that you could sell? Great - join our 'bring and buy' stalls (again, all proceeds will go to the Cancer Council)

💛 We're prepping a mega raffle - tickets for sale on the day

Thinking about squeezing in a last-minute ride at the grounds before Sunday?

Please note that from midday Friday, the arenas will be raked and string lines set. We kindly ask that the grounds are not used during this time.

Anzac Day Parade 🌿 2026 🌿
Such an Honour to have some of our Pony Club members , Sunny Cowen , Charlotte Henshall & Josie Lindberg Marching in the Anzac Day Parade along side our incredible Adult Riders in the 10th Lighthorse Regiment on their phenomenal Steeds , a crowd favourite & impeccably turned out in their uniforms, saddlery and delightful smiles 🐎 Honouring the brave service men , service women and horses that served for our country. It’s was a beautiful ceremony & we are Forever Grateful 🌿🐎🙏🏽
