Three talented basketballers from Margaret River have been training regularly in Perth as part of the Under 16 Country State squads, working hard towards selection in the State Country travelling teams competing at the Australian National Basketball Championships in Bendigo this July 2026.

We are proud to announce that Tully Evans has been selected in the travelling Under 16 Country Girls State Team and will represent at Nationals in Bendigo.

Daisy Worsley has been selected as a reserve and will continue training with the team through to departure.

On the boys side, Andrew McCann has also been selected as a reserve for the Under 16 Country Boys State Team and will continue training with the squad.

A huge congratulations to Tully, Daisy and Andrew — an outstanding achievement and a great reflection of the talent coming through Margaret River basketball 👏🏀

Belle Nesbit has been successful in her application for the BWA EmpowerHer Scholarship Program — a fantastic and well-deserved achievement.

We are incredibly lucky to have Belle in our association as a player, Aussie Hoops assistant, and umpire. She consistently strives to be her best and leads by example both on and off the court.

There is no doubt Belle will go far with the guidance and support from this empowering group of individuals. We look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed ♥️🏀♥️ Well done Belle .
