The Saints AGM was held Last week and unfortunately we have had no nominations for any of the positions to be able to continue running as a Junior Soccer club.
After 44 years of existence in FQ Far North & Gulf it is a very hard decision to have to make, however with recent introductions of elite level competition structures limiting our teams playing against the best and as all clubs are facing, a small number of volunteers being able to invest enough time into running a club which is becoming more and more time consuming for volunteers.
I want to take this time to thank all who have been involved over this period, we have always been a club that has invested back into the community that we are apart of and understand the importance of offering opportunities to those that may not always have it. For those looking at continuing on with other clubs and wondering who out there have these same values we have worked closely with Leichhardt Junior Soccer Club and Marlin Coast Rangers FC over the past few years and highly recommend these two clubs.

We finish on a high note with our teams in Junior competitive divisions taking out multiple Premierships of the past 4 year period, and we look forward to seeing you all down at Endeavour park, albeit in different colours this upcoming season.

Our AGM is booked in for this Wednesday night. As per our email to members all positions will become vacant, so if you are thinking of putting your hand up for a role now is a great time to get involved.

Great to Have Michael Healy MP down to Endeavour park to have a look over the new facilities. Thank you to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for making this possible, and local engineering firm Cashcor Engineering for making a great product that will last for decades to come. What a pleasure it was catching up with Leigh Pollard of Saints Soccer Cairns, and Alex Srhoj, the Manager of FQ Far North & Gulf earlier in the week.

Saints recently received $50,677.00 via the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland, which they used to install team shelters and a grand stand.

The new facility is looking spectacular, and is ready for the next soccer season!
