To our Friends of the Mansfield Pool,
The recruitment of lifeguards and learn to swim instructors has been challenging in Mansfield because of the short pool opening season and the cost of training and accreditation. By voting for this Community Impact Project there will be more opportunity to recruit persons with a variety of ages who can provide the service locally without bringing staff from other districts or requiring Mansfield residents to travel to facilities in other municipalities.

MASTERS MAGIC AT MSAC!
What a day for Mansfield Swimming Club at the Masters Swimming Victoria Long Course Championships! Three of our swimmers headed to Melbourne's Sports and Aquatic Centre to take on a field of nearly 300 competitors aged 18 to 96 - and they delivered.

🥇 Dave came home with a swag of ribbons, including a medal in the 200m freestyle.
🥉 Tony claimed his very first swimming ribbon - a 3rd place in the 100m breaststroke.
🌟 Amelie tackled her first ever masters meet and is already hungry for more.
Masters swimming is one of the most welcoming parts of our sport - and these three are living proof. We couldn't be prouder of the way they represented our club. If you're keen to join them please shoot us a message. 💙

WHAT A DAY!
Excellent work Team Mansfield at the Benalla Swimming Club short course meet today. Some cracking swims bringing home new pbs, some medals and even a golden duck trophies (or two)!

Heaps of fun swimming fast. Thanks to our parent support crew for helping out.

Best of luck to our clubbies who are off to MSAC in Melbourne tomorrow for the School Sport Victoria State Championships. We can't wait to hear how you go!

Swimmers had to qualify for States via School > District > Division > Region (top 1) representing their schools all the way. What an achievement!

🏊‍♂️ Masters State Champs at MSAC 🏊‍♂️
Huge shoutout to Tony and Dave who hit the pool today at the Masters Swimming Victoria State SC Champs at MSAC!
Our club’s first ever competitors at this meet (and our first official MSV meet entered!) - the Mansfield cap was proudly represented.
They stepped up to the challenge, raced hard, and made the most of every event - exactly what it’s all about. Plenty of great swims, a lot of determination, and some brilliant results to top it off 👏
A fantastic (and fun!) day in the pool - well done! 💪

WHAT A WEEKEND!!
The perfect way to finish off our long course season with 15 swimmers competing at MSAC in the Country All Junior meet.
SEMI FINAL SATURDAY
Our six juniors (11U) kicked off the day with some sizzling swims taking on 50m swims across all strokes. 18 swims produced 11 new personal best times and one spot in Sunday's finals.
The senior team of nine swimmers (12-16) took things up a notch with some exceptional afternoon racing. Out of 24 swims they took home 19 new pbs - and three finals races. Huge shout out for their efforts as racing didn't start until 3.45pm and we left the pool at 7pm. 😳
EVERY swimmer took home at least one PB.
SUNDAY FINALS
Top 10 from the semis rocked up again on Sunday for the finals. Joey McG was our first cab off the rank taking on the 15 years fly. Improving his ranking by 2 spots he finished 5th whilst also shaving more off his time. He backed up in the 15 years backstroke again with 5th place and a pb.
Annabelle S scraped into the 10 years breastroke final as an emergency but didn't let that stop her. Another pb under her belt and she improved her ranking from 12th to 7th.
Liana S consolidated her big PB from Saturday in the 13 years 50m breastroke taking home 9th place.
Huge thanks to coaches Alli & Amelie, team manager Fiona and our parent support crew for their hard work.
Sadly our pool closes today 😭 but we'll see you all at presentation next weekend.

A fabulous Friday finish to our adult squads this morning. Brand new for our club this season our twice weekly squad sessions were well attended. Lots of laughter, some grimaces but huge improvements all round in fitness, technique and speed.
Looking forward to next season.
