Back in the water!

Moved back to qld a couple weeks ago. My time with Franmarine in Perth was a great experience running the workshop, skippering and Diving but after 2 years away. It was time to come home to friends and family.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to say thankyou to everyone that has used QLD Scuba over the past 3 years of operation.

QLD Scuba has grown so much more then I thought it would in this time frame and I appreciate everyone that has trusted us with your equipment.

I am sorry to say that the hard decision has been made to shut down QLD Scuba Services.

We will be open for the next few weeks completing all equipment currently inhouse and available for air fills until closure.

Many many many thanks once again.

Ross

Hi all,

Due to current workload and upcoming commitments, we are requesting that you hold off from dropping in any equipment that has not already been discussed and organized to be serviced.

We will still be available for Air/Nitrox Fills as long as we arent offsite.

We will update as time permits, thankyou for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience.

If you have an urgent job then get in contact with us to discuss.

Many thanks,
Ross

Those 1am moments when you're still working on gear.

The past 4 and a bit months I have been doing upwards of 70-80hrs in the workshop trying to get ahead of the work in the shop.

Normally having this much work should be a good thing, unfortunately in Brisbane there aren't a lot of us technicians due to a few businesses shutting down due to illness and death causing Two of the larger operators to stop operating.

I love the industry but hate the reason why the few of us that remain are so busy.

Hopefully we can get some more technicians trained and working to help keep the industries equipment maintained without having to work the hours of multiple people.

The loss of Paul and Bill was a massive loss to the industry and they will be missed.

Stay safe everyone and most importantly stay healthy.

Hi everyone,

As the last update said I'm not in the workshop today, I won't be in tomorrow either at this stage as there's still 12m of water in the river, it needs to get below 6 for the bridge to not have water over it and be accessible again.

Hoping for Wednesday at this point.

Many thanks, stay safe.

Due to weather flooding me in, I won't be able to make it into the workshop until the waters recede.

Stay safe people.

See you when I can.

Welcome to 2022!

Due to maintenance requirements for our compressor system, we wont be able to fill any cylinders for the next week, saving what is banked to be able to continue servicing regulators to get through the current workload. Sorry for any inconvenience in the mean time.

As per the last post regarding turn around times, we are sitting at approx 3-4 weeks at this point in time.

If anyone is looking for casual work (to start with) as a technician, be it Regulators or Hydros, please get in contact with us. Qualifications would be ideal however we can train in-house for certain aspects of the job.

Many thanks to all, Sorry for the inconvenience,

Ross

Compressor Updates!

The last few months we've been preparing to upgrade the compressors capabilities and the addition of the Nitrox Membrane system a couple weeks ago was just the beginning.

Along with the Membrane system, We have also installed a Carbon Dioxide Scrubber to remove as much of the ambient carbon dioxide before it even goes into the HP compressor and also now added a larger filter inline with the current filtration to ensure that our banked gas (air or nitrox) is at the highest quality we can provide.

We are now banking Nitrox at approx 33% and Air for all your breathing or HP gas needs.
