This lovely looking and sweet natured gelding is looking for a new home to call his own.

Monty loves life in the slow lane, not a huge mover and would suit an adult rider looking to do a little bit of everything but not work too hard. He thrives with less pressure and cruising along quietly - in saying this he makes a beautiful shape and would enjoy some low level ARC. He would do well in a grade 4 type of home.

He has a very comfy canter, could sit there all day long.

Monty has previous been with a novice rider but has proved a bit big and too much horse. He is very straight forward in a routine with us.

Monty is a big lad so won’t suit a nervous or return to riding home but is a genuine horse who has a lot on offer.

Very loved family member who just want to see him thrive in the right home.

Has been seen to windsuck once since arriving with us, not in the paddock. Very minimal.

Sadly King has some habits under saddle making him not a ridden rehoming prospect for 99% of the population.

I’m looking for a home that will still do ground work with him, keep his brain ticking and enriched and also has other horses as he loves to play in paddock.

We’ve x rayed him spine, neck, ulcer treatment, dental & body work so before anyone in the comments gets excited and puts their 2 cents in, we’ve done it. He has learned some party tricks that in my opinion are hard to break.

Please don’t enquire if you can’t offer a LONG TERM home. I don’t have time for any time wasters and I cannot keep taking these horses back because your husband has changed his mind or you’ve lost your job. He needs to be someone’s ride or die.

Very controversial but very true!!

We X- Ray LOTS of backs and necks IF the horse shows symptoms, only 2 weeks ago we did 4. We don’t allow people however just to x ray backs just to go looking for a problem.

We’d sack nearly every horse otherwise as nearly all show small changes on back x ray. Ride the horse, not the x ray.

*** X-RAYS OF THE BACK AND NECK ARE NOT HELPFUL UNLESS THE HORSE IS DISPLAYING CLINICAL SIGNS OF PAIN ***

I’ve gone on about “kissing spine” often not causing any pain whatsoever in many horses. This afternoon I’m attending PPE/vetting lectures, which one again confirms these X-rays are not helpful when taken at a PPE (vetting) unless the vet is concerned about back or neck pain when examining the horse.

X-rays of the back and neck aren’t helpful at a PPE and are not recommended by FEEVA (Federation of European Equine Veterinary Associations).

Our favourite horses to rehome are always the FREE ones who everyone scrolls past.

Shaleah saw what we see in Goose and he is on his way home to become an adult riders mount. He has such a cool nature, a few very manageable quirks and a lot of love to give.

1. Monty: 17.1hh, 10yo, TB Chestnut Gelding. Nice big allrounder. Likes life in the slow lane.
2. Hansel: 16hh, TB Black Gelding. Seriously flash looking gelding. Could do any discipline. Does have old scar on hind leg from injury as a foal. Raced successfully with no issues.
3. Fritelli: 15.1hh,15yo, TB Bay Gelding. Has done PC, eventing, beach rides, true allrounder.
4. FREE COMPANIONS: I have 2 x lovely geldings, very sweet natured. Also 2 x mares who would suit companion or Recip mares.
5. Paul: 16hh, 11yo, TB Brown Gelding. Ultimate allrounder and cool kid. Suit farm, PC, ARC, confident fun rider required.
6. Glen: 16.1hh, 7yo, TB Bay Gelding. VERY flash eventing, dressage OTT. Will excel in a top level home.
7. Hutch: 16.2hh, 10yo, TB Bay Gelding. Very neat and quiet allrounder.
8. Goose: Seriously flash allrounder, no spook, can be a touch cold backed (just needs 4 laps on lunge and perfect to ride every time).
9. Bonnie: 15.3hh, 5yo, Tb Bay Mare. Very pretty, stunning head. Nice type for show ring, dressage and also loves to jump. Can be a bit bouncy after a spell so suit someone who keeps her in work.

All horses are in work and ready to view. Up to date with everything.
